Who is clt?

I've been wondering as well.

G-rated interpretation: the FAA call signal for Charlotte International Airport.

So the airport called and said the niners are back? Must have just flown in. Wouldn't everyone think that they would have bused over to Greenville, NC to play ECU? 02-13-banana

clt says the 49ers chartered from JQF to PGV.

What is the Charlotte airport doing on this "chat page"?

clt says that would be CLT or KCLT.

Ditto, WKU picked the worst game of the year to not hit 3's. Belmont has our number. We needed more body's, we could not press or play as aggressively as we needed to with legs being a factor . I have seen Belmont play 5 or 6 games this year and I thought that was their best performance so far.

If Marshall would have just stayed within reach in the 1st half we would have won the game. Marshall outscored Xavier by 16 in the 2nd half. Frustrating loss. Looked almost like the Pitt game last year. Sooner or later, hopefully sooner these kids will start to be able to put these kind of games in the win category.

This WKU team has played pretty well actually considering the lack of depth. Only one opponent has a losing record and Nicholls is 5-6. The 5 loses have been by a total of 22 points. Seems like one factor has been the difference is each loss. Only 6 turnovers last night but 8% from deep killed us.

Just unreal how it seems like this season every team, (well most seasons seems like this), everyone light us up from three in Diddle, but we cannot shot the three to save our life in Diddle...Our 3 point percentage has to be significantly better on the road/neutral site this season than home....Ohmer for sure struggles to shoot at home and lights everyone up outside of Diddle...Still though was nice to see our crowd finally into a basketball game...

As far as Belmont, they own us, what secret does freaking Lipscomb have to beat Belmont twice? I know they are in same city but still they get up like its a Super Bowl every time they play us and look like a team I that I have no idea how they have lost 5 games...

A Stansbury coached team depends on defense at least at Western and while I haven't ran the number at Miss St I bet they are close to what the 1.5 seasons at Western played out.

If a team shoots 45% or higher...Western is going to lose 82% of the time vs D1 schools. We don't (or haven't yet...1.5 years in) have the offense to offset good shooting.

4-18 when a team shoots 45% or higher. 79% 5-18 when D2 is added in

I'm sure most teams lose a lot of their games when teams shoot the ball well against them. But to put some context Belmont is .500 this year 3-3 and 5-7 last year but to add more context. The 10 losses came vs

27-9 Florida N
19-16 Vandy@
21-16 Georgia Tech@
31-5 Middle
25-10 Rhode Island@
20-15 Jacksonville State N
12-20 Tenn Tech@

9-3 Washington@
11-0 Texas Christian@
8-4 Lipscomb

I guess the point I'm making....good offensive teams can over come bad defense more. While Western is depended on good defense to drive the offense. It doesn't matter if its a good team or bad team or one in the middle.

This season will depend on how well this team plays defense.

17-4 when the OPP shoots under 45%

Wouldn't you have to note WKU's FG% to isolate the defense. I mean if WKU shot less than 30%, for instance, only in games they lost could you really say it was defense not overcoming? I did not notice WKUs average shooting% in your numbers but I certainly think it would be applicable. It's that area where stats can be made to fit your narrative. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying you're giving us incomplete information, but maybe you already know the other part and just didn't type it out for us.

With our football we relied on defense all season. Prolific scoring teams will overcome that defense. But our defense held everyone we lost to below their season averages. At some point you have to say the offense needed to step up and lend a hand as the defense was doing their job.

So far this season ODU is averaging nearly 10 points a game more than they did last season, but they still can give a good account for themselves when involved in a good defensive rock fight.
