JMU should send a full 350, and let the NCAA sort out the logistics of making sure the seats are there for them. “Not enough tickets” doesn’t sound valid to me, though they would need to provide transportation, housing, and food.
So JMU is sending 250 MRD's, NCAA allows 350. So what are we doing with the other 100 available tickets?
Those won’t be issued or used by anyone. NCAA will just install fewer bleachers for the bands in the end zone. It’s a wasted opportunity if we don’t send them.
I recommend you speak up to whomever at JMU.

I hope NDSU does not bring 350, and we bring 250. I recall last year the numbers in the two bands being similar size and similar sound/loudness. You'd hope the MRDs would always be a plus over the other school.

By not bringing the full band, JMU effectively self-neutralizes one of our greatest "home-field" strengths.

It seems like you're oddly comfortable conflating personal opinion with observable fact.
Please, enlighten me as to what this so-called reasonable standard entails. I'm confident that in doing so, you will cite apples-to-apples examples of bands at FCS title games in Frisco (which would be since 2010).

JSU sent all 500 band members to the 2015 Championship game. They would have had to sacrifice 150 tickets from their allocated block for that.
Haven’t had time/energy to look further back, but JSU’s band seems comparable to ours.

I don't know anything about our band or the support JMU gives them, but does JMU pay for our band to attend the Christmas parades such as Macy's? Or does the band conduct fundraisers for the trip?

NDSU's band is about 200. Apparently kids in the MRDs can opt out of going to Frisco as I learned from a parent of a kid who has decided not to go. So unlike home playoff attendance where I want more than less, with the MRDs if they have 250 kids that want to be there, I can live with that.

Jacksonville State values their band more than JMU, that's unquestionable.

With only 250 traveling, it makes sense to allow kids to opt-out. Less unhappy people that way. But why don't JMU's leaders understand the value of having the full band perform in the stands & at half-time?
JSU played NDSU & had no issue with the tickets. I think what you'll find is the real issue lies in the cost of sending the band to TX, not the tickets. The tickets are just an excuse to ignore the larger issue of money. If the tickets aren't the real reason, then they would have to accept donations to send the whole band or else look foolish. Instead of allowing this to happen, they will hide behind the tickets excuse.
