ETSU coach Steve Forbes is a highly regarded coach. A number of Memphis fans wanted him after Pastner.

Been said many times, Memphis will not sign a guy who has rec'd a show-cause.

Bottom line is that you just don't find these kinds of threads on Big East forums. Nobody in the Big East cares what the AAC is doing (though we always keep an eye on UConn for old times sake). It's not a lack of respect, we know the AAC has some very good programs, basically the ex-Big East teams that stayed in the AAC and new hired gun WSU (brought in because the AAC basketball model that was supposed to be our equal had failed). But we have bigger fish to fry so the conference as a whole is not really on our radar.

But the AAC conference has the widdle-man's complex of sniping jealously at the bigger man, so these anti- Big East threads are common. They try to make themselves feel better by cackling over a couple bad results. You see it in many aspects of society.

I think that it is unholy for the Big EAst to call itself the Big EAst. The current group is a collection of mid-majors and a few original members. Lets face it: St Johns, Seton Hall, Syracuse, Georgetown, have had nearly zero relevance since the break-up. The conference is living off Villanova and the success of Xavier. That is what the Big EAst has become. As a Cincinnati fan, I loved our time in the Big EAst, and would relish the return in that configuration, football and hoops. I have zero desire to return in its current form especially with the addition of WSU to the AAC. The Big East has lost its shine.

Syracuse isn't in the BE, Seton Hall has made the tourny almost every year and has been ranked multiple times and won the BE tournament. If you want to call anyone a mid-major i'd take a good long look in the mirror.

Oh, absolute HOGWASH

The usual Big East smug attitude playing all Eddie Haskell innocent.

"Wouldn’t it just be grand if Wichita State made the move, Gregg Marshall took a better job, and then UConn bolted for the Big East. You go, Mike Aresco!"

vhttps://www.vuhoops.com/2017/3/22/15014792/villanova-news-links-conference-realignment-aac-wichita-state-uconn

Since we're told so much by BE folks about how they are a power conference and we are not. And that great Fox Sports contract and how ours sucks ... cash some of that extra money and purchase a thicker skin.

Rosewater....Cuse isn't in the Big East... it is in the ACC. It is still plenty relevant...despite probation made the Final Four in 2016 and 2013 before that. It is a young team with little depth due to probation and several early entrants. It'll be back to Top 10 next year ingot.

Easy you'll ruin quos the AAC sucks at life argument. That he's a big east fan suddenly makes his shitting on the conference all football season make sense.

Sans Nova’s revival...the new BE is a mish mash of mid majors and ex BE bottom dwellers. It has nothing near the quality of programs the aac has. When Seton Hall and Providence has become a major conference competitor...you know it’s bad over there. By the time Cincy left, the quasi flagship teams like Georgetown had become automatic wins for UC.

Please don't ever lump USF and Cincinnati's basketball programs together ever again. K thanks.

Yeah being a top 3 conference every year has mid-major written all over it! hahaha UC had a losing record to SJU in the BE, soooooooooooo....

Actually, there's a 40 page thread on the top of the Holy Land forum. We are most definitely in their heads.

It's very, very amusing when they fail and are given a dose of reality.

Nova carries those bags of dregs. Simple as that. And it translates into the tournament results from year to year. Creighton is the best example as they continually are given fluff seeds and pee down their legs every time. They've never won 2 games in a single tournament. It's the funniest stat out there. What's even funnier is that new Big East fans are proud to have them there. Only a bunch of mid-major flameouts would clamor a fellow flameout so highly as they do.

Be mad that the truth hurts you. And the AAC is most definitely a factor as Big Pee fans like you live here and are constantly entrained to know what happens with AAC teams and fans. The AAC is most definitely a pain in yours and most any other Big Pee fan's side. Ouchies.

I love how it's "we" from the WCC fans. Didn't you guys lose to a bunch of mid-majors a few weekends ago? I mean the city rivals between the two conferences have been blow outs of the AAAAAAAAAAAC schools.

Little man syndrome plain and simple. They made a Final Four once! Oh wow, the world has never seen anyone do that before! hahaha

Truth is the AAC is the 7th best conference and the Big East is a top 3 conference. 07-coffee3
