If we lose by less than 20, i will be shocked. Still thinking that the next 5 games after this one are the important ones. We need to get off to a good start in conference play and win some road games. After High Point, i would never have thoight we would be 7-4 going into conference play. So, it has been a good start. But, we are going to get drilled tomorrow night.

We should be competitive if two things happen:
1) Knight stays out of foul trouble (big if)
2) we have twice as many assists as turn overs (again, a big if)

If not, TCU will probably score about 100 points and we will be in the 60s or 70s again. They shoot a lot of threes. The game should be very fast paced

TCU is very aggressive on defense, playing in-your-face defense with their athletic people. I expect Burchfield and Milon will have someone in their faces all night a la Ohio State. If Knight can stay out of foul trouble and be effective inside scoring I expect we'll see less pressure on Burchfield and Milon.

The W&M official winter holidays break begins today. The first day of classes after the break is January 16. That means no students for Tribe CAA home games with JMU (1/11) and Towson (1/13). Very tough scheduling to say the least.

Tribe climb to 88 RPI. ODU win really helps.[Image: 58ff673b2da85ef9f571b7a0af4b3deb.jpg]

IF. (That's a big if).

The big boys have figured out how to beat W&M. Call fouls on Knight early and often (and it does not seem to matter whether or not the foul was actually committed) and then you can concentrate exclusively on defending the 3-point shot.

1) Shaver has no post-exam roster announcements to make.
2) No one gets injured.

If that happens then 02-13-banana

Aren't we expecting some sort of announcement that Jamison Glover will be back for the second semester? His name is still on the roster.

Some numbers on W&M vs ranked opponents:

All time - 7-87
On the road - 0-54
Under Tony - 0-13
Last win - 12/7/77 against UNC

Ladies and gentlemen, it sounds like we are due for a big win!

High praise and good publicity from ESPN’s college basketball analyst Fran Fraschilla on Twitter; maybe one or two of our 2018 big man targets will see this and sign on up:

“Sneaking over to see William & Mary at undefeated @TCUBasketball tonight. Impressed with what I’ve seen of Tribe’s 6-10 Soph Nathan Knight, so far. A future NBA prospect.”

I hate to mention the “t” word. Assuming Knight stays healthy and progresses this year as we hope he will, I will be on tender hooks from the end of season in March until the first day of school in the fall.

These tweets make me feel good for him but scare the dickens out of me.

The only way I'd be concerned with him transferring is a) Shaver leaves b) he has an injury redshirt year, graduates, and transfers as a grad transfer. I don't see him as the type of kid who wants to sit out. If he truly is an NBA prospect, it won't matter where he is at- Teams will scout him.
