Should have used real photos like the above the first time and avoided the whole stupid controversy. Or just coped to using a representative stock photo and moving on.

Pecan pie for Xmas? We have one for Thanksgiving (baked by my wife's aunt), but never thought it was a Xmas tradition. This a southern tradition for holiday pecan pie after Thanksgiving?

Pecan pie works for pretty much every holiday I can think of (except maybe Easter?)...

We typically have pecan pie at every special event. One of my uncles has a grove behind his house and my aunt has the freezer part of his garage beer fridge full of bagged pecans.

Yea, pecan pie is always appropriate. We havent made one in a couple of years due to pecan prices skyrocketing.

and I wonder who is feeling triggered by this?

It's just the time of year. We have pecan pie from October when the pecans start falling until early January. God only knows how many hundreds of pounds of pecans I've picked up this year and how many thousands more are still on the ground.

There's a rash of liberals on social media who have been faking photos of themselves in exotic foreign places in order to try to make themselves appear to be world travelers and more important than they are. Its kind of a "thing" for them so be seen in places they've never been to or doing things they could never do. SHS posted a pecan pie back on thanksgiving she was making, and triggered a liberal media person (April Ryan) who thought SHS didnt make the pie herself. And she demanded proof of SHS making the pie. So SHS was simply shutting down the fake news again by providing step by step proof that she actually makes the pies.

I like pecan pie. It must be a regional thing regarding traditions. In the northeast and midwest, pumpkin pie is the dominant pie for Thanksgiving plus through the fall. For Christmas, it's homemade candy, nut crescents, cut out cookies, pecan tassies, chocolate peanut butter cookies, pazelles, etc.

Honestly, I miss it. Between my wife's running war on sugar and my son's diagnosis of tree nut allergies, homemade pecan pie has just about disappeared from my life...

Yea, and it was a pretty lame attempt. SHS is from Arkansas. Baking pecan pies is like a mandatory life skill requirement for women from Arkansas.

I, for one, think they've gone to far. What next? Ironing skills, sock drawer arrangement? If they stoop to car washing skills it's time for an armed insurrection.
