None the less, I am going to stick to a "show me" attitude before I pull out my wallet again. Hiring somebody who is not Bailiff is not enough.

You disloyal, lesser fan, you! :)

Believe me, there are a lot of posters here who think I am about as lesser as it gets.

But I was referred to once as loyal to a fault.

One question to a "real fan" like yourself-- how many games each year (across all Rice sports) do you road trip and spend money on airfare and hotels? I attend 30 - 40 such games annually, including at least one road series each year in baseball and football, and all post-season games. Lesser fan? Seriously?

I'm glad you have the kind of wealth that enables you to fly everywhere and stay in nice hotels so you can see Rice play. Congratulations. I'm not nearly as well off, and I can't attend but about 10-15 football and men's basketball games a year. Even though that's the case, I'll never stop spending the little bit of hard-earned money that I do have in support of the players. I'll always be there, especially when things aren't going well. I think that places a guy like myself in stark contrast to someone who actually has money, but decides to withhold it because he's mad at the guys at the top.

So you basically concede you are incapable of rational thought and decision making that isn't in line with what you have always done?

Noted.

Also, the Prince of Nigeria will give you 10 million dollars if you wire him 100 grand. I'd recommend looking into this.

That's funny. What I "concede" is that I'll always be a fan, no matter the coach or the admin in charge. I can't stay away, and I never will. You should try it sometime. It's called 'being loyal.'

What you don't seem to understand, is the same is true for all of us. No one here said, f-this I'm cheering on UT or Ohio State from now on. We all remained fans, followed the games etc.

That is different from blindly throwing money in the name of support. We support Rice by withholding - to send a message that Bailiff needed to go. That doesn't makes us less loyal. Sorry. Nice try. Now that he is gone, we are back.

And no - we haven't won a single game under Bloomgren yet, so also nice try with the bandwagon shade.

You support Rice by withholding support. Nice. And for whatever your reasoning, welcome back.

It's the same support I give the Democratic party. They won't get my money or votes until they act as I want. Tried and true method. I am also supporting Colin Kaepernick in the same manner.

I think it is an interesting concept - showing support by ignoring the entity needing the support.

I think I may incorporate this philosophy into more of my life. Hmm, who to support next?

I didn't know I had a fan, since Rick is gone. I thought I was the least of the lessers. Thank you very much.

I am already supporting TAMU, TCU, and the entire Big12 in this manner. Texas won't see a penny from until Herman is gone. Maybe not then. The list of organizations I support in this manner is staggering, and growing.

Well, guys, I have to break this off. I need to go NOT support my doctor.
