It was definitely an emotional moment. Such terrific young people in our academies. You could feel the love they have for our country.

That's why only one percent of millennials sign up to defend out country. Not too many with guts anymore, their safe spaces in mama's basement is better.

Can we not leave one national treasure unpoliticized?

It’s always about money. It’s why the military offers so many perks to join. It’s why they paid money for those feel good shows at NFL games.

This isn’t recent either. Check out some of the recruiting advertisements from even the 1800s.

I served for some time and I've asked a good deal of people why they joined. People from their 80s to people that would be in their mid-20s today. I've heard "Uncle Sam didn't take no for an answer", "Because it was what we were supposed to do", prestige, job prospects, uniforms, benefits, housing, education, travel, protecting the country, being manly, getting fit, etc. I've never heard anyone mention the flag.

But yes, the national anthem was given in my preferred, can't go wrong way. A choir or band.

We weren't worried about that because anybody we hired would be able to get clearance.

We were more worried about the ones who would call out sick then turn in an excuse from a vet because their cat was sick. Never had a military vet do that. Can't say the same about a college graduate.

That's why I like to hire Asians. They'll leave a kid dying at home to make it to work.
