WKU vs Georgia State (Autonation Cure Bowl) - WKU rolls!

Marshall vs Colorado St (Gildan New Mexico Bowl) - CSU might be the toughest bowl opponent that any CUSA team faces.

Middle Tennessee vs Arkansas St (Raycom Media Camellia Bowl)- ASU won 7 games this year, but literally none were impressive. MTSU wins this one.

Florida Atlantic vs Akron (Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl) - CUSA Champ FAU is angry that they ended up perhaps the worst bowl opponent of all CUSA teams. Yes, it's absurd, and FAU takes it out on poor ole Akron. FAU wins big. Very big.

La Tech vs SMU (DXL Frisco Bowl) - LA Tech makes it 4 Bowl wins in a row.

Florida International vs Temple 7:00pm CT (ESPN) (Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl) - FIU lost to ODU. Temple wins this one.

UAB vs Ohio 11:30am CT (ESPN) (Bahamas Bowl) - How UAB managed to beat LA Tech, MTSU & USM this year is inexplicable. Ohio doesn't care. Ohio wins.

Southern Miss vs Florida St 12:30pm CT (ESPN) (Walk-on's Independence Bowl) - FSU just has better players. FSU wins by a TD.

I predict that CUSA goes 5-4 in bowl games in 2017.

Inexplicable that we beat teams we were better than this year? LOL Must suck to lose to a team that didn’t play for two years huh?

Probably going to roll out my picks tomorrow.

I have some soul searching to do because I think, in actuality, the CUSA vs. AAC games can go either way.

What has Ohio done that makes them the majority's pick over UAB?

Blazers!

AState will beat MTSU if Justice Hansen decides to throw it to the players on his own team. If he tries to do too much, as he tends to do, it gets ugly the other direction.

That's the only actual stat that matters in the Camelia Bowl.

Saturday, December 16th

North Texas vs Troy 12:009m CT (ESPN) (R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl)
MY LINE: UNT 41-37 Both teams have fed their offensive numbers on bad teams so I think both teams can score. The only reason I am giving UNT the edge is I think they will be more motivated after getting owned in the CUSAC game. I will NOT be surprised if Troy wins though.

WKU vs Georgia State 1:30pm CT (CBS Sports) (Autonation Cure Bowl)
MY LINE: WKU 27-23 I am giving WKU the slight edge only because they seem a little more able to score but when you get a 6-6 and a 6-5 team together, I don't have much faith in either to pull out a W.

Marshall vs Colorado St 3:30pm CT (ESPN) (Gildan New Mexico Bowl)
MY LINE: Colorado St 31-21 One of the few match ups that really interests me to watch if I can. Marshall has looked so off to me over the last half of the season that I don't know if they can get it right to beat what looks to be a good CSU team.

Middle Tennessee vs Arkansas St 7:00pm CT (ESPN) (Raycom Media Camellia Bowl)
MY LINE: Ark St 31-20 MTSU beat up the weak sisters of the poor in CUSA to get bowl eligible and Ark St has played better against similar levels of weak teams. I don't really have a good feeling about either one really looking good in this game.

Tuesday, December 19th

Florida Atlantic vs Akron 6:00pm CT (ESPN) (Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl)
MY LINE: FAU 37-20 I am going to ride the Lane Kiffin FAU train on this one. FAU has really heated up on offense and has looked stronger each game.

Wednesday, December 20th

La Tech vs SMU 7:00PM CT (ESPN) (DXL Frisco Bowl)
MY LINE: SMU 35-27 I have more faith in SMU to pull this off than I do La Tech. The one bugaboo here is the coaching change at SMU.

Thursday, December 21st

Florida International vs Temple 7:00pm CT (ESPN) (Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl)
MY LINE: FIU 28-23 I have a higher confidence level in FIU over what I have seen from Temple this season. Temple has got a shot but from what I have seen so far this year, I think FIU looks better overall. Keeping the score close based on the competition played.

Friday, December 22nd

UAB vs Ohio 11:30am CT (ESPN) (Bahamas Bowl)
MY LINE: UAB 28-23 I am going to ride the UAB back form the dead season hype train and say they get this one on sure emotion from getting their program back form the dead and into a bowl game, somewhere they haven't been to in a while.

Wednesday, December 27th

Southern Miss vs Florida St 12:30pm CT (ESPN) (Walk-on's Independence Bowl)
MY LINE: FSU 31-28 I really want USM to win but somehow, they way they have looked against the competition they have faced I don't think they can get over an ACC team quite yet, even a poor performing one like FSU this year.

It is what it is, but sometimes it is what it isn't!

True, Marshall was horrendous in the last few games of the season. However, one of those was a very good game they gave FAU. If any C-USA defense could do it, it has to be Marshall's.

RE: CUSA Lines in The Sand - Bowl Game Edition
I thought I could do it, but there is just too much "Mean Green" blood in me. I can't pick against my Mean Green in our bowl game. Even though I think it is a small time bowl game and I had no interest in us going to. Here is my revised prediction.

North Texas vs Troy (R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl)- (North Texas doesn't have a respectable defense) BUT NORTH TEXAS WINS ANYWAY!!!

WKU vs Georgia State (Autonation Cure Bowl)- Too much Mike White

Marshall vs Colorado St (Gildan New Mexico Bowl)- Better then most think... maybe the second best team in C-USA

Middle Tennessee vs Arkansas St (Raycom Media Camellia Bowl)- Stock is back

Florida Atlantic vs Akron (Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl)- This will get ugly quick

La Tech vs SMU (DXL Frisco Bowl)- No Morris, but still too good on offense for LA Tech

Florida International vs Temple 7:00pm CT (ESPN) (Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl)- Davis is the better coach

UAB vs Ohio 11:30am CT (ESPN) (Bahamas Bowl)- Dream season gets a dream ending

Southern Miss vs Florida St 12:30pm CT (ESPN) (Walk-on's Independence Bowl)- Too much talent on the Florida State roster

Thanks. I'm looking forward to watching y'all stomp a mud hole in Akron. It's a real shame FAU didn't get a spot in the I-Bowl. I think y'all could beat Florida State. I'm not real happy with our conference leadership.

But honestly, in all of the games so far aside from FAU, I wasn't that convinced on my picks.
