MyBB The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (of B1G basketball) and Army-Navy
I don't know about anyone else but good lord this past work week was ridiculous. Time to relax now. I know we generally like football over B-ball but Army-Navy is the only game. So, how about some b-ball new.

BTP: Ranking the Big Ten’s Biggest Disasters (So Far)

BTN: Most surprising Big Ten basketball team so far

WP: Six takeaways from the early start to Big Ten basketball season

Ok, how about a little football news 04-cheers : SI : The 2017 Army–Navy Game: What to Watch for And my personal opinion is GO NAVY!!! 02-13-banana

It has been a long season for Big Ten basketball so far. I'm actually disappointed in the lack of ambition on RU's part. Yes, I get that they're rebuilding but at least play someone more interesting than Central Connecticut State. Hell, I'd do a series with Boston College.

It's atrocious but we have to build some momentum. We'll always have Seton Hall on the schedule at least.

No offense but we played Florida State and Rutgers needs a winning season desperately. Go 10-2 OOC and then see what the conference slate yields. I definitely see improvement from last year. 12 seasons since we made the NIT is ridiculous. I don't think you learn much from beating Coppin State or FDU, but it is better then me going to watch RU lose back to back games to St Bonaventure's and Lehigh in Thanksgiving week about a decade ago.

Illinois also lost a pre season exhibition game at Charleston to EIU, Not a regular season game but in front of a packed house, money raised went to hurricane releif

Not the kind of start Big 10 programs were hoping for that is for sure

Very good weekend for Big Ten basketball. Rutgers comes back to win at home against Seton Hall. Indiana gets a good win against Notre Dame. Purdue finishes off Butler. Only blemishes were Illinois losing to New Mexico St. and Nebraska falling short against Kansas.

Penn State is making some interesting arguments down the stretch. They just swept Ohio State a couple of days ago. They're next playing Purdue, who is going through a bad stretch, including dropping a game at Wisconsin. Nebraska is also looking to sneak up as well and could be very dangerous in the tournament.

Cats not having near the kind of year that was hoped for after qualifying for the Tourney last year. back 2 back home losses, (ouch!) to MSU and MD absolutely need a final home win over Wisky and a final road win over Iowa (certainly dooable) to have any momentum for the conference tournament and hopefully the post season even if its NIT

The NCAA has spoken. We've had a very mediocre season. Only 4 from the conference. Yikes! The SEC gets 8 in.

Penn State wins the NIT, beating Utah 82-66. Michigan will play Loyola-Chicago this coming Saturday in the Final Four.

Penn State hopefully is on the upswing in basketball. Being dominant in wrestling and pretty good at hockey are nice but not as sexy as basketball. We ought to be better and I hope things are moving in the right direction.

Congrats GE! That's good for y'all, no doubt about it. Hope it will spring board the team for next year.

Our last NIT championship in 2009 didn't really do much for us as we missed the postseason the following year with an 11-20 record. I'm not expecting much with as little effort as the athletic department puts into the sport but hopefully the tide is turning.

Penn State has a great coach, I really like Chambers. I difinetly think he will have them in the big dance next year.

I am indifferent on Chambers. This year was his second winning season at Penn State in his seven years here. That's not good at all. He's never had a winning record against Big Ten competition. He's making progress but it is at glacial speeds.

Do you remember Parkhill? He just kind of disappeared in the 90's if I'm remembering correctly? He had those teams playing good in their early Big 10 years. Why did he end up leaving? I know he was at Ohio State as an assistant for a year or 2 also.

UMich falls short to Villanova tonight. Still it wasn't all bad for the Big Ten, having won both the men's and women's NIT.
