Quote:Dion is a starter for the top team in the Argentine League averaging 16 points on 55/43 shooting splits
Watched highlights of him either last year or the year before, seems to have become a pretty good player.

For sure...he is a semi-prolific scorer who has become much smarter with his shot selection. Still fills the stat sheets across all categories like he did while he was here, but his shot has become much more consistent.

RE: Kilpatrick
Didn’t see it posted elsewhere and didnt event know it happened until I saw SK’s Instagram tonight, but I guess he signed with Panathinaikos in early January and they just won the Greek Cup - yes coached by Rick Pitino. Glad he’s back playing.

Thanks!
Keep us posted. Maybe I’m crazy but I’m still holding out hope that he can get one more Chance in the NBA. Maybe a month or two. Maybe even finally break through for two or three years.
My money is on he's all but done in the NBA. He's had a lot of chances at this point, and he's not getting any younger, and his skill set apparently isn't growing fast enough.
I hope he manages his finances well.
Yeah, with the new CBA he'll be hitting certain veteran minimums, so he costs too much for what he offers at this point. He should cash some nice checks for a few years in exotic locales, then retire. Hell, we've got a lot of guys who have made some solid careers out of that already from those early 10's teams.
Yancy is a starter for the top team in the French League averaging 13/7 (off season) and is a starter for the 5th place team in the Mexican League averaging 12/9
Mbodj is a starter for a top 3 team in the Polish League averaging 12/6
Dion is a starter for the top team in the Argentine League averaging 16 points on 55/43 shooting splits
Justin Jackson is a starter for the leaders of the Cypriot League averaging 14/9 with 2 blocks per game
Deonta Vaughn plays with JJ and is averaging 8/5 assists at the moment.
Ibrahima Thomas is averaging 13/10 in the Lebanese league
Rashad Bishop averaged 16 ppg in the Portuguese League last year.
Adam Hrycaniuk is oddly still playing in Poland, averaging 5/5 in sub duty
Octavious Ellis is the 6th man for the Greek League leaders, averaging 7/5
Corry DeBerry is averaging 7/4 in Portugal
Farad Cobb is averaging 11/3/3 in Brazil
Nice info!! Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, it's incredible how good the money is overseas.
About 5-10 years back, a guy who was the 6th man at Dayton as a senior told my brother he was making $300,000 a year playing overseas. I was skeptical about that dollar amount until I asked my co-worker (who had played in the 3rd division in Lebanon) and he said that most foreign leagues limit the number of Americans to 2-3 per team, or even 1 for poorer leagues. And since those are always the best players, 300k is a reasonable salary for the top league of even in a mid-level European country.
Hmm. So the days are gone where US players would not get their full salary and teams would stiff them?
