RE: 12/5 AAC Basketball Games
SDSU plays a style where they will be a 15 Seed in March and they will beat a 2 Seed. They have a possible NBA 6'9 player who can shoot it from 23' and they have another 6'10 guy who can also shoot it from deep. Additionally they have a couple of fairly athletic and good guards.
If they are on, they will beat some people by their wins over Iowa and Mississippi. We also had a sick guard so w/o McDuffie, we were playing with 8 players who had played this year. Finally while they were great in the first half, we weren't.
They hit a couple of fade away 3s in the first half. A recipe for disaster.

What killed us was we got hot mid way through the first half and took a 4 point lead, but foul trouble caught up with us and Whitt, GU and Chargois went to the bench for fouls and TCU took back all the momentum from our run and went on their own to take a 5 point lead at the half. After that they couldn't miss and we couldn't get into a solid flow.
We really need McMurray. We have a real solid starting 5, but with Akoy still injured and playing at what looks like 40% we cant afford to have more than one starter on the bench at the same time. Going to be a huge addition.
When will McMurray be eligible?

After our next game. Only solace last night is that Zona knocked off Texas A&M. Yes, I was looking for small victories last night.

Winning games suck. Losing games by 17 rule.
Can't wait for the Florida game.

I'd say last night for Wichita was probably the definition of a trap game. In between Baylor and Oklahoma St.
And Wichita still w/o their best player. scary thought. Realistically they still have 6 weeks before the schedule gets tough- final 13 games with 7 of those being vs KP tier A level teams- and 1 with tier b. So still

I think last night was a bit of a trap game, but I have to give some credit to SD State. They're a good team and have some nice wins, they should end up in the "decent win" column for us.

Yeah I agree with you. They'll be a team that a 3 or 4 seed is dreading come tourney time.
With the RPI changes- SD State probably will be a tier 3 win.

They live and die with the jumpshot and have a bunch of good shooters. When they have off shooting nights they will get run out of gym, but on most nights they will be dangerous.
It will be interesting to see how the team sheet changes work out this year.

South Dakota State is good. If they come out of the Summit League, they'll actually be a 12 or 13 seed and a nightmare of a matchup for a 4/5 seed.

Sure does. I had to change the oil in my shorts after the game... blew an oil pan gasket during the first half.

RE: 12/5 AAC Basketball Games
I watched the replay of the S. Dakota St. game last night on ESPN3 and damn those boys were on fire that night. I thought we actually played really well. We cranked up our defensive intensity to insane levels with out 10 mins. to go in the 2nd and rocked their worlds, but hats off to them. They are going to break some hearts in March if they execute at that same level.
