RE: FAU vs. Akron in Cherubi... Charabi... Cheribi... Boca Raton Bowl
What should be happening from now on is to negotiate so that CUSA champions play in the boca bowl either sun belt champion or Mac champion whichever is ranked higher unless CUSA champ goes 12-0.

MT has played FAU & FIU long enough to remember some great battles: an iconic FAU coach, some what-the-Hail Mary's, an unstoppable FIU receiver....I appreciate being in division with both programs, but that's just me.
Well said, and I second that motion!

You may have heard it, you may have loved it, Kiffin may have head it. Doesn't change the fact that he probably won't make it to your bowl game next year.

Is that a fact?

I missed entire game watching WKU basketball get beat by Belmont...Side not I have been playing Bowl pickems for years and this is the first season across the board everyone I saw everyone pick same team and put the most confidence in FAU (41 pts), that tells you everyone knew this was a lopsided contest before this game ever started...
No doubt, Akron did not belong in this game. The conference must have gone for quantity instead of quality and figured to get more teams rather than the best match-ups.
It is a shame but it takes two to tango and convincing the MAC or Sun Belt champ which likely has their choice of bowls to go play Kiffin in Boca might be a hard sell. Of course FAU likely had the option to play in the NO Bowl or another bowl but wanted to stay at home.

Not according to the administration and the AD.

Alex Bazzie and the Marshall D beg to differ.

Yeah we heard he was gone after this year. If you keep saying it every year it will eventually happen. I know you guys hope it does soon
And it's good to have a coach the power 5 may want. In the meantime they'll keep winning the conference

Remember when you said this about Lane & FAU in July?
"Kiffin is as slimy as Freeze, if not more. If he does stay at FAU if he wins even 5 games this year he is good as gone. Just like Davis at your twin."
You were wrong then, and you will probably wrong here too. But if by any chance Lane does leave next year, FAU will get a 10+ million dollar buyout. Meanwhile, Marshall fans will be collecting pennies in a coffee can trying to get Doc Holiday fired after another uneventful season.
The fact of the matter is, we clearly don't know what Lane has planned for his future. So why not you worry so much about his future at FAU and worry more about not losing to him again.
