I'm nervous about Florida today. They have lost three in a row already. Can a team this talented lose four in a row? Our lack luster performance vs Xavier isn't helping alleviate my fears either.

Hopefully we show up and play hard.

Bryant’s leading scorer is out due to injury. It marks the third time this season an opponent plays without their top scorer. Kenpom also lists the Tigers the third luckiest team in D-1.

I surmise an unlucky Tiger team facing opponents at full strength would have a losing record now. Nevertheless, we should smash Bryant today.

Welcome to basketball in Kansas. 03-banghead

The only way WSU is going to get on the court with KU or KSU is in the Tournament. That's happened twice against KU and we've won both. 02-13-banana

Why are OU and OSU willing to play Wichita and not KU and KSU? Wichita is now at the level that it’s not a “bad” loss. It just seems strange.
Because they like to pretend they’re superior and a loss to WSU hurts the narrative.
That's why KU won't play us. KSU won't play us because to their way of thinking it would be an admission of their inferiority to KU. They won't schedule us in the regular season until KU is willing to, so in other words 'when hell freezes over'.

I think we were close to a series with KSU when Frank Martin was there. However, Weber has been on the hot seat with fans the past few years and isnt' going to take that chance. I agree that KU will never happen, especially with Self there. KSU could happen depending on the coach. We'll see who replaces Weber after this year. But the new coach would have to build himself up before stepping out and taking that chance as KSU fans still think they're #2 in the state. But really, that's KU's spot.

I've read that Florida was without their 2 (possibly 3) best players for at least two of those games. I don't follow them enough to know if any of that is true, nor do I know if or when they are scheduled to return. Either way, I hope you guys kick their a$$.

I have returned in order to post comprehensive analysis during UCONN's come-from-behind overtime victory vs powerhouse Coppin State today.

I’m nervous about St. Joe’s. We are 0-2 against the A-10 so far. This is a Big 5 rivalry game so records and Vegas spreads are meaningless. Temple needs to prove we can beat teams we should beat. Cannot be caught looking ahead to nova or Georgia.

Do not think of K|Uck-City and Manure U as even relatable entities. K|Uck is simply trolling Shocker fans and digging their heels in with all their might in an attempt to slow our progress. They realize there's little they can do anymore as our national brand is firmly established, but they've been playing this song and dance ("It doesn't make sense for us to schedule you") for so long now, it would be a sign of defeat to change at this point. Also, if we beat them a second time in a row (a distinct possibility), there would be pandemonium in the Sunshine State amongst the middle-aged and older ChicKUn boosters. I personally think most of the young KU alumni and students respect Wichita State and consider it a point of pride that there's a 2nd national basketball brand in the state of Kansas now. Wichita is holding onto more and more high school graduates that, in the past, would have ventured north to the ChicKUn Coop.

K-Suck on the other hand is in a completely different class. This is a program that desperately clings to any illusions of competence they can find or conjure - enjoying membership in the B12 being the only one of significance. If Silo-Tech schedules us it's an instant loss - nothing more and nothing less. It would surely bolster their OOC and give their kids some inspiration on how hard you need to play to be a national contender, but there's enough bitterness in 'Suck's alumni base that getting smoked by K|Uck AND Wichita State every year would be too much to handle. The best (and only) play for the Kittens of Kansas is to just sit really still in the corner, rocking back and forth, and humming to themselves in hopes that the chants of incompetence coming from every direction can be drowned out. When Snyder retires and the football program slips back into obscurity, it's bullet to the head time...

We used to play Silo Tech all the time back in the 90's when we were at our lowest point in 100 years of program history. The games were always competitive and we won several of them over that time period. After the turn of the century, the two programs began to diverge with Manure U treading water while Wichita State improved exponentially each year. It really makes no sense playing them now as we would only agree to a buy game which puts them in the same class as an Emporia or Fort Hays St. Since we can get ESU/FHSU cheaper, why bother?

As I said before, nobody in Kansas even knows the Fecal Farmers play basketball.

Y'all shouldn't pay no mind to Kansas anymore... Their conference opponents are so grossly overrated x 2 is pathetic.

I mean, take a good look at your current conference lineup, your AAC mates have quite the pretty rich impressive sexy history y'all lack previously, add yourselves and see how much more sexy the AAC is over the big12-2, not even close.

My point also.. Continue scheduling tough OOC, defeat them, come home to your already sexy league, put on a hell of a show and watch Wichita State basketball finally change the eyeball interest in your state over the kansas program.

Cincinnati
Houston
Memphis
UConn
SMU (new money in the basketball world)
Temple
Tulsa
Wichita State (already sexy)

With the AAC so competitive now I do expect the rest of the programs get on a roll and finally flex their own muscles.

Tulane, UCF, USF, East Carolina
