A special grand jury in Birmingham this week charged two people, including the chairwoman of the Birmingham Water Works Board and a former vice president of the board's engineering company, with violating the Alabama ethics law in a scheme to hide illegal payments.

we finally mustered enough votes to eliminate our 16 yr mayor that has completely ignored the inevitable infrastructure collapse years ago that will now cost 10s of millions more moving forward.....
