Christmas Gift Ideas
Serious Thread
I typically like to go with a theme and get everyone in my family the same type of gift.
So one year I gave everyone books, another gift cards, another pajamas.
Does anyone have any gift ideas for me?
Keep in mind there are 15 adults in my family and I don't have a huge budget so something under $20 each please.
Any ideas?

It's a gift to them, not to Trump.

RE: Christmas Gift Ideas
I just give gift cards to stores that fit the personality of the person receiving it. I would give my Mom's husband a Cabela's gift card since he likes to hunt and fish, while my Mom would get one from Belk's or something similar.
Everybody used to think I was being a stick in the mud when I just asked for gift cards but over the years they've seen the wisdom behind it. Just last week I needed something from Lowe's and finally finished off my final gift card from last Christmas and it was all spent on stuff I needed.

Fit,
I'll noodle on it but are they all geographically close or not?

Flashlights.
I know it sounds corny but you can always use a flashlight.

Depending on the climate, nice winter scarves. People won't usually buy one, but they'll use them.
My son is a Moo State grad. Got one of these for him the second I saw it in the store.
This one is from American Eagle Outfitters. $10 online. Very, very nice quality. They have sections for Men and Women with a decent selection.

I agree with you 100%. I've done this in the past and personally, I would love gift cards more than anything. My wife thinks however that they are impersonal and lazy.
I'm gonna try and find something if not, I'm going to fall back on this tried and true gift idea.

Not a bad idea. I live in Texas so we don't see too many cold weather days but I'll keep it in mind.

I love flashlights. I buy one almost every time I go to the store. Again another good consideration.

Phone chargers? Specialty USB cables with multiple ends?
Instead of scarves, the winter knit hats.
Pocket knives and/or good quality scissors.
OH. Something I got that I really use is a Sandwich Knife. It's more of a one per household thing though. Mine is a CUTCO brand. There are good less expensive options. It has a serrated edge to cut bread, but a wide flat blade for spreading condiments on your bread. Some places will engrave them. Mine says "Pappy's Sammich Knife". Very useful and I think of my kids every time I use it.

LOL
My wife had one of these CUTCO brand sandwhich knives. She loved it so much. One day, she lost it at a party cutting cake and she made me go out and find another one for her.
$45 for one knife if I recall.

RE: Christmas Gift Ideas
It's easy for me this year, everyone's getting Astros World Series Champs gear. The commemorative bats that Louisville Slugger made are really cool.
I plan to get stocking stuffers from here. Slippers, coffee mug, rocks glass, etc.

My gift to you would be to draw names and have secret santa. As adults, you don't need to buy a bunch of crap that most people will likely either stow away somewhere to be forgotten or to regift them to others at a later date.

I agree. We already have a gift exchange and this was supposed to replace giving every adult gifts as it is a bit of a financial burden for some of our family members. However, at least one sister always violates the agreement and gives everyone gifts anyway so I feel bad not giving everyone a gift.
And that is just one side of the family. I have about 20 people on my side and 40 on my wife's side. I easily spend over a grand on gifts and that doesn't even include my own wife and kids.
