If Western plays anywhere close to the way we have the last few games and stay out of foul trouble....Wisconsin is very winnable. But we will see how this team reacts on the road.

We chose to go to the Wisconsin basketball game over the bowl game. Still slight chance we make both but driving to Wisconsin and back then leave the next day for a 12 hour drive might be too much for my back.

Dude, if you make those two trips back to back you deserve the WKU Congressional Medal of Honor! Lol. I would normally be going to the Orlando bowl game as that’s a chance to visit all my family down there but my youngest son and his wife are coming up from Jacksonville to do early Christmas with them. I’d get crucified if I left.

I think we have a shot at Wiscy just because Darius Thompson keeps everything cool out there. Our scoring is so spread out somebody will score for us. We just have to continue to play dee. As far as Numbnuts, even he has a chance against Ga State. Could be a good weekend for us.

Thompson's old man Lonnie played at MT

I love him as a player. He’s not a highlight machine but he does everything well and does it at the exact time you need it. You can see he’s a coaches son. We’ve got guys with more splash but he’s the best graduate transfere we’ve every picked up in my opinion for the effect he has on the team.

He’s a real matchup problem for other guards. He has great size to see over opponents out front. He can take people off the dribble and take them to the rack when we need a bucket. He’s solid shooting the 3 but not in love with it. Can board enough to help the team. Oh yeah...14 assists and 0 turnovers the last two games. Never gets rattled or too excited. Glad he didn’t end up at Middle.

Lonnie was mad that he did not get a look at the HC for MT (from Motlow College in Tullahoma, Tn) when we hired Kermit in 2002. He was never going to send him to MT............ never been back for any legends games, etc). He was also fired as part of the coaching staff after the 94-95 season.

I guess it is because I expect to win against Ohio and a loss to Wisconsin will be less difficult to accept. I get more nervous about games were a win is expected than ones were you are supposed to lose. This years Wisconsin team is not as good as usual although Ethan Happ is a Frank Kaminsky clone.

Ohio is 4-4 right now but they are always dangerous especially in the Convo in Athens. I'll be watching that game because Ohio's next game is against the Herd in The Cam.
