What basics are we not about to get with Phase 1? A good scoreboard is a basic need.

Not when we know a bigger one can come after the north end zone is complete.

A basic need = how about seats?

We aren't getting the north end zone completed because we are upgrading the scoreboard. So, what basics are we missing out on by the scoreboard upgrade?

Our stadium and everything about it (including the current score board and, unfortunately, our current level of play) screams FCS/JV whatever you want to call it.

Yes. Clearly.

I am not against a scoreboard but I would rather have more than 21,000 seats if at all possible, or blow up the north end zone. Those bleachers are going to look so bad once the rest of the stadium is done.

Yes I want more seats but they don’t have the money for it. North endzone will happen even if it takes a couple years. I think ODU knows they must do something about it

RE: NEW stadium construction
Love watching replays on the scoreboard. Especially on controversial calls. Kind of equalizes the stay at home advantage vs being in person.
Also like seeing stats and scores from other games. There is way to much distance between the fans and the cameras. We need the cameras to be up close and personal with fans in order to hype the crowd. That's one thing I noticed at NC State and VT. Lots of fan involvement, not just cheesy find the acorn crap.

A few years back I suggested an xbox type competition during half time at the TED to get the younger crowd involved. Show the competition on the scoreboard. Why not do same thing at Football?

For fan involvement, I want to see better cheers that are led by the cheerleaders. They really don’t bring much to the stadium atmosphere if you ask me. I think a new scoreboard could help organize better cheers from the fans and cheerleaders

RE: NEW stadium construction
The North end zone needs to be redone to add a venue for student events and other revenue generating events. The University needs to move the scoreboard and put in the a top of a line video and sound system. I don't understand why the stadium can't be multi-use to generate revenue for the University and athletics.
