Well, the investigation is likely far from over. And we've already had two people confess to crimes, with two more looking at a trial. Also, there is still the possibility of obstruction of justice crimes as well as Logan Act violations as well as other potential folks who lied to the FBI. There's also the possbility of criminal proceedings to any number of team trump folks who may have lied to Congress.

And there is also the possibility that no further crimes will be uncovered.

What does the age of it, or frequency of its use, have to do with anything? It's not exactly something all citizens have the potential of breaking on a daily basis. Only a select few would ever have any chance of violating it. The last was probably Pelosi like a decade ago. Besides, I never said I was in favor for prosecuting for it...but that doesn't change the fact that it could have been broken.
