LaVar Ball has pulled LiAngelo out of UCLA
Quote:LaVar Ball told ESPN that he has pulled his son LiAngelo out of UCLA.
"We are exploring other options with Gelo," LaVar Ball said. "He's out of there."
The news was first reported by TMZ.
LiAngelo Ball, a freshman, is one of three UCLA basketball players who were indefinitely suspended after a shoplifting incident in China.
Ball, the middle Ball brother, did not play a single game in college after being suspended from the team -- along with teammates Cody Riley and Jalen Hill.
"I'm not sitting back and waiting," LaVar Ball told ESPN. "He wasn't punished this bad in China."
"We get back over here and the consequences were even stiffer than China. So basically they're in jail here."
Ball told ESPN he hasn't decided where LiAngelo will play this season.
"I'm going to make him way better for the draft than UCLA ever could have," he said.
"He's not transferring to another school," he told ESPN. "The plan is now to get Gelo ready for the NBA draft."
LaVar Ball told ESPN prior to the season that LiAngelo would only stay at UCLA for one season, even if he wasn't projected as a draft pick. His brother Lonzo played one season with the Bruins before being drafted No. 2 by the Lakers.
The three players are subject to review for violating the university's Student Conduct Code, which includes a section on theft.
As part of their indefinite suspensions, the players haven't been allowed to suit up, practice or travel with the Bruins.
"They had him there just to use the Ball family name. They were going to keep the best shooter on the team coming off the bench? That's like telling the Clippers back in the day not to play JJ Redick," LaVar Ball said.
LaVar Ball said that that the plan is still for LaMelo Ball to go to UCLA. LaMelo verbally committed to attend UCLA in two years.
A source at UCLA, however, told ESPN's Arash Markazi that this is probably the end for the Ball family at the school.

Guess he'll go to the NBA D League?
Is any other school going to take him?

Yep.
Schools like Alabama State would jump at the chance to get a guy like Ball. Not condoning his actions but the guys shoplifted.....
I'm 100% sure that nearly every adult man has done something worse.

I take it from that comment that you are saying you did something worse as an adult. But to project your personal failings on "nearly every adult male" is just plain wrong.

No he wont be in the G-League

Ball will struggle to find a serious job playing pro basketball, including the G-League. @Mike_Schmitz projected him in high school as a small-ball stretch 4-man at the mid-major college level. Would make sense for Ball to find a scholarship at a lower level and stay in school.

I cant think of too many things that are worse than stealing. Rape, Murder and attempted murder are the things that I can think of off the top of my head. I have never raped or murdered or attempted to murder anyone. Ill go out on a limb and say that most posters here have probably, never done those things either.

No other NCAA school should take him. Let him go Juco if he doesn't go pro.

Oklahoma State took in Doug Gottlieb after he was kicked off of Notre Dame's team for stealing other Notre Dame students' credit cards and making charges on them. He started for 3 years on Oklahoma State's team. Why should Ball be treated more harshly than Gottlieb?

Yep because no one ever has drunk underage, done drugs, stole anything, done stupid things while in a fraternity, had an affair, done a stupid prank while in high school, bullied anyone, got into a fight, etc.
Because everyone here is a walking Jesus and these things don't happen in America.

Because you'd have to deal with his dad

He wont be. The only issue is schools and the NBA rate him far lower than his brother. He is mid-major talent not major talent player. A Fresno State or Pepperdine makes more sense for him.

Police brutality.
Racism.
Having an affair.
Drunk driving.
Child abuse.
Blackmail.
Extortion.
Espionage.
I came up with all of those in less than a minute and can go on.
You guys don't like his dad I get it. I'm a USC fan, you can imagine how much I was laughing at the RUINS and their class act. But he stole something, no one got hurt, no one died, charges were dropped.
If you have ever illegally downloaded a song. Watched a live stream that was not from an authorized source guess what? You deserve the same punishment you are wishing upon this young man.
