During the lead-in to the Georgia Southern vs. New Hampshire game (1st round, D-IAA playoffs, on ESPN2) the other guy alluded to the offensive talents of both teams and the history (six D-IAA national championships, the most in D-IAA, I think?). And this is what Andre Ware said:

"This is how it should be decided -- in a playoff format, on the field."

Hell yeah.

Now Andre Ware just mentioned Rice (saying that GSU outruns "even Rice, who runs the option very well in D-IA", but pretty complimentary for a comment with us on the wrong end). :laugh:

He also talked up Sam Houston when they were running down the scoreboard earlier. This is great -- lots of talk about the local (well, my heart is still in Houston, so "local") teams. Modesty probably forbids him talking about his own Coogs, though, which is too bad.

I have to agree with Andre. I can't believe the powers that be haven't ran the numbers on a D1 playoffs. They could make way more than what they are making now if you ak me. I personally think about 16 teams would be right.
