I guess another way of looking at it is that Lebo sucked so bad that he missed the boat on mediocre ballhogs who couldn't crack the rotation at most league schools but would still be a vast improvement over what is currently rostered.

That would have earned you beer clink emojis and should have been your lead thought. Saying that the dude who screams "IVERSON" while chucking 3,547 shots a game to put up 20 points is better than Shamet, Milton, Adams and friends is the wrong way to skin this cat.

Both are guys we should've and could've signed. That's a big reason for Lebo's axing, talent evals, not because you can't get players here.

Do you think Kansas is a better program than Duke or UNC? They have combined for 9 national titles since 1991. Kansas has 2 since 89, one of which they fluked out on against Memphis.

Wake Forest has had #1 regular season teams in the last 20 years, NCSU, Davidson, and Charlotte haven't been horrible.

Jesus I hope Wichita St wins it all, but the state of Kansas hoops doesn't stack up with NC, not even close.

Like I said, I predict both Clemons and Bowman will be NBA players, time will tell.

I haven't followed this debate so I don't know everything about what has been said but I'm willing to give ECU a break and a new start. Now they have a new interim coach and maybe new life. With a smart hire next year, and if they infuse some new money in the program, maybe they have a couple of good players who are smart to build behind. It will be difficult to build a program in North Carolina.


They have had good players before. We has some nice teams who competed pretty well in 2006 (Sweet 16), and some others who competed well in the NIT but were never nationally celebrated. Gabe Blair (an ECU transfer) was a very nice, big, versatile, athletic player on our NIT Championship Team who, in 2010-11 catapulted us into the national spotlight and started our national run that has lasted until today.

The problem for ECU or good point for WSU was that Gabe Blair came off of the bench and was one of 10 other nice players (one on that team played in the NBA for a short spell), and probably 5-6 players off of that team earned All League awards and had foreign professional careers. Gabe was one of many good players on that team.

Kansas basketball is second to none, and competition for players has always been fierce. But we have to admit that KU didn't give Ron Baker a 2nd thought. They wanted Fred VV but they were late to the party and he didn't give them a chance. K-State isn't in the same thoughts as KU and WSU (they beat us on an instate Top 100 Western Ks. kid who grew up a KSU fan) but KU doesn't recruit the same kids as we have and that is still that way. Give ECU some time, and maybe they will improve their standing in the American but I agree with them that they can't compete with Duke and N.C. for the Top 50 kids. Maybe, they can build it up enough to get the other N.C. kids who are good instead of them leaving the state for other better basketball programs in the region.
