I hope we get Candle. I don't know if sumlin remembers what recruiting at this level means. He's been the coach of the only Texas team in the SEC for 5 years. To him recruiting has become txt'ing the top Texas recruits: "hey want to play in the SEC?"

Sumlin is the biggest headline rebound where Recruiting might not only recover but even get better than under Frost

If he wants the UCF job you have to give it to him. With the new FEF fund the assistant pool will be better

I'm fine with Candle as Choice #2

Sumlin was 51-26 in the SEC west. I think he'll do just fine at UCF. Also UCF > Tennesee #P6

It would have been an amazing accomplishment for UCF to pull off that hire. The guy was winning 8 games or better most years while playing in the toughest division in college football. With so many jobs open and so few really good candidates out there, some P5 is going to throw a crap load of money at him.

It's Monday, Kevin has the offer and Oregon job doesn't seem like its opening up.

UCF is putting pressure to accept the deal soon. But he's the only one that's confirmed interviewed.

Regardless of who we hire, I sure hope we can keep Troy Walters long term.

I don't think FSU can offer Sumlin out of pure principle. They 100% lose all respect as a national power. It's already a bad situation for them and that would put an exclamation point on the whole thing.

I was reading some Oregon newspapers. Taggart is playing with fire out there. He didn't sign the extension and has been delaying it hoping FSU makes an offer, which they didn't do yet. Oregon brass pissed that he is treating them like a mid major. Funny that Jimmy Sexton is his agent. Does that guy represent all the college football coaches.....like wtf
