Toledo is pretty good. They're up 31-0 in the MAC championship right now.

Have you seen Toledo play? They would be the best opponent any conference usa team would play in this bowl schedule.

Ok, Toledo may be one of the better G5 teams but a W over a 6-6 or better P5 team carries a lot more weight than a 9/10 win G5 team. Wins vs P5 teams is how you help/improve your teams/conferences perception.

And the only P5 option we have is Shreveport. And I doubt they're going to want two teams that won't bring (m)any fans.

The same logic goes both ways seeing as Toledo are the MAC champs. Either way the TV stations do the real choosing, they do a very good job at “strongly” suggesting who should play where. ESPN has our fate in their hands.
