Why not go to a 9 game schedule and go divisionless. 4 permanent opponents and rotate 5 others each year.

Fifteen teams playing nine games against each other is a mathematical impossibility regardless of how many divisions there are - introducing the ACC fixed rivals into the equation help overcomes that.

I understand the concept, I just don't think this is a workable set up in any way. You can't require two schools to play perennial top ten teams OOC and count those as conference games when no other school has to do the same.

Stay at 14 or go to 16.
