The number of bowls is good. The problem for G5 teams is the number of zeros in the bowl's payout. The SEC and other P5 conference teams are looking at millions per bowl while most G5 teams are looking at hundred thousands. These amounts are paid directly to the conferences which in turn distributes to the school's Athletic Departments at annual meetings at plush resorts. Unlike the national basketball tournaments, the NCAA is not involved in making the distributions from bowl games more fair.

Getting the NCAA involved in this way would just result in the P5 conferences completely breaking away.

So would it be better to have them or not have them. Who pays the bill for travel and room and stay. The Bowl or the School. They except the invite for a reason whether its revenue from TV its worth the deal when invited. You want to be invited to a bowl vs not being invited. The Players and recruits want to know your going to a bowl game. Recruits that end up as players want a reward for their work. And we have a Great Reward, days in the Bahamas. They will be treated like they have never been treated before. And they want to win this game so they can go back with respect.
