The press lied, not W.
3 year old article, but one which hasn't gotten any press.
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/39...oy-murdock
"...Since 2003 Coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent,” states a June 21 declassified summary of a report from the National Ground Intelligence Center. “Despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq’s pre-Gulf War chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-Gulf War chemical munitions are assessed to still exist....”
"...And yet, as those tea-party types at CBS News reported, Hussein HAD yellowcake, and the Bush administration whisked 1,212,542 pounds of it out of Iraq in July 2008. Rather than bus the entire international press corps from Baghdad to Basra to watch this vessel give proof of Hussein’s atomic ambitions, Team Bush stayed as quiet as sleeping puppies about all of this. Meanwhile, Bush and his defenders melted in a rotisserie of liberal hatred over their “lies...."

I'm not exactly sure you're remembering the claim, nor that you read the article. This is pre-Gulf War sarin gas, not WMDs they were claimed to be creating.

Per the Gulf War agreement, it was all supposed to have been destroyed.

The chemical munitions-yes. But yellow cake? That wasnt left over and it wasnt for a birthday party. They were trying to build a nuclear weapon again.

I thought a pipe bomb was considered a WMD?

Sure, but the claim was that their WMD program was active, right?

Not to mention any sarin gas encountered after the invasion of Iraq would have been produced or procured well after the end of the Gulf War because of it's short shelf life, generally five years give or take based on the purity of the components.

No.
Operative word was “stockpiles”.
Good God man who could give a schit about what he/they might get when they’ve got warehouses of the stuff already?
Go do some history for once, take a quick lap, then come back and talk to us.

I think you question gives the answer.
Its hard to get people to have an attention span beyond a sound bite. So its hard to counter a sound bite.
I still think it was the right war at the right time. Can you imagine Sadaam with oil revenue? Oil prices were rising and sanctions were falling apart. He had bribed people at the highest levels of the French, German and Russian governments. Now the peace in Iraq was badly mishandled. And we probably went in too light. We sent enough to win the war, but not enough to immediately stabilize.

Yup.
Took several classes where the instructors were former US military nuke/chem/bio experts and some of the war stories they told were scary.

I can't figure out why the lie that no wmds persists. I'd trust this guy with my life and he doesn't give 2 shites about politics. He said he saw them and I believe him. I'm actually afraid to say more.

Like always the stupid Republican party does nothing to prove to these wackos that there were actually WMDs in Iraq. That they stayed quiet is testament to their stupidity and the Libturds jumped on that immediately arguing that we went to war for nothing. Where do you think the Iranians all of a sudden acquired the expertise to build nuclear weapons. Yes, from the same Iraqis that probably left with a sizable salary to produce one for the Iranians. 2+2 my friends. I'm no Einstein but I can add those two numbers.

it's simply another facet of #henceTrump
he has zero reason to not promote (WHAT ALL FOLKS PINE FOR FROM OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS)
and what would be that answer???????
hint: it begins with a T.....
I'm still laughing at how too many don't get the residual benefits that are occurring RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR FACES as #TRANSPARENCY is continuously happening on a daily basis.....

it was stabilized when President Messiah ascended unto the heavens.
the obama administration inherited a completely stable iraq. for whatever reason, the obamites chose to destroy that achievement, and literally UNWIN a war that had been already WON.
period.
please ask me why they did that.

the obamites unwon the war in iraq because they couldn't live in a world where the bush policy of preemption worked.
and it did. it actually worked.
their entire "multilateral" "community of nations" universe becomes invalid when a country attacks before it is attacked, and thereby makes the world a safer place.
it may take some years, as it did with truman's presidency, before the world realizes the accomplishments of the bush administration, but it will happen.
