$16 Million
Outside of all the other factors involved in tomorrow's game, this is one that shouldn't be overlooked. This is the difference in revenue to the school based on bowl payouts between the Peach Bowl and the Liberty Bowl.

This would go a long way toward hiring a new basketball coach among other things.

Is it actually $16 million to the school or $16 million to the conference to then be split out among members?

I thought it was the school who goes gets half and the other half is split between the league in some sort of shared revenue pool? Could be making that up though TBH. At any rate it beats the hell out of any other bowl. Including LB which would still be awesome for every other reason.

We get the Peach bowl money, as do all schools in the AAC, regardless of whether we or UCF gets it.

If we go to the Peach bowl, we get another 2.5 million to help cover expenses.

Probably true when they go back in a few years and retroactively rule Ferguson ineligible and force us to pay all winnings back...

Just to be clear this is completely falsified and there is no reason to actually doubt Riley's eligibility...

Thanks for posting. This was a very enlightening article about how the system has screwed those conferences they deem to be second class. Keep the money away from them, and they'll never grow.

RE: $16 Million
Fake news. There is not a $16M gap in the school's payout.

It's a $2.5M gap.

Still significant. But geez.
