The additional bowl ban with essentially no additional penalties is really odd. Almost like the NCAA said, "look you lied to kids about this investigation in the recruiting process and we have to do right by them...but this case is flimsy as hell and we can't in good faith crush you and ignore all the other stuff."

So, the COI doesn't crush Ole Miss or Freeze but does instill a ban so players can do what's best for them.
