Potential HIPAA/civil rights violations. Does not sound good at all. Per Munz, link: https://amp.hattiesburgamerican.com/amp/886666001

Alleged to occur in 2015, the story says. Hopson hired in 2016, Gilbert in 2017.

But let's not miss a chance to go negative, huh?

This sounds weird to me. First off, wouldn't the kidney be a known up front medical condition regardless of what team(s) were involved. Didn't his high school and LSU know about it?

What did i read wrong???? Not being negative. Is this timeline wrong?

-The kid played for LSU in the fall of '15
-After the season was over he was recruited by Disch (presumably because Disch just got hired by Jay from a German fb team)
-Kid transfers to USM, sits out the '16 year per transfer rules
-Kid is made eligible and cleared to play after '16 season
-With the team until June 28th 2017 when Todd McCall and Dr. Steven Beam would not clear him because of the kidney thing
-USM athletics allows outside second medical opinion. The kid gets that opinion from his kidney specialist saying in a letter "no medical reason to put any restrictions on Hammond's athletic activity."
-Even after second opinion, he is still not cleared
-Meanwhile, he tried to transfer to MTSU and somehow they already know about his medical condition...

What did i read wrong???? Not being negative. I'm confused about the timeline:

-Kid transfers to USM, sits out the '16 year per transfer rules

big difference between releasing medical records vs him divulging to a coach about his condition in passing....

I see nothing here......happens all the time......

RE: Gilbert, Hopson, McCall, and Disch might be in deep chit...
The article says he had extra lab work done due to the single kidney as part of his USM physical, which he passed, but then it was a month or two later when he happened to mention the single kidney to McCall and it became an issue. Maybe that’s just bad writing on Beveridge’s part, but that sequence of events is impossible. His condition could not have been both a reason for our medical staff to order extra tests as part of his physical and a new revelation a month or two into his participation.

As the team PCP, Dr. Beam would’ve been the one who would’ve ordered & signed off on said lab results in the first place, yet he then changed his mind and refused to clear the kid all those weeks later? The Wookies are really missing from Endor on this one unless Beveridge just royally fudged up the whos, whens & wheres.

Where was I wrong about you going negative. You revel in bad things happening to USM.

Also, when did Munz change his name to “Lici Beveridge”?

The story reads like she got it straight from the plaintiff attorney.

Typical lawyer tactics in a lawsuit. Agree with Rock, some never miss a chance to slam our school.
