That (14) next to UCF is a symbol of the whole mess that is college football.

RE: Conference Championship Games
So are we back to Power 6 Conferences (e.g. those with championship games played by ranked teams)?

Haha that's great. I would like to see this stat compared with the other conferences. Somebody should send it to Bowen and Aresco and have them tweet it.

RE: Conference Championship Games
I'm beginning to think that the reason they are screwing with UCF's ranking isnt to keep them out of the playoffs, but to ensure two AAC teams dont end up in a NY6 bowl.

RE: Conference Championship Games
The PAC 12 game stands out like a sore thumb. How in the world are these two teams ranked ahead of both of us?

Bowen and Aresco should be making a huge scene about this.

In hindsight, I wish we would not have rescheduled the UCF game. It very well could have been two undefeated AAC teams going up against each other.

Is this possible? If so, under what conditions?

Our conference leaders should be raising hell about this and advocating for both teams to be considered for New Years 6 Bowls.

Let's say UCF was ranked 6th this week. They lose to Memphis. With all of the other carnage in the top 12 thats guaranteed to happen, what would be the odds of UCF dropping out of the top 12? Not very good. Therefore you would have had Memphis in the access bowl and UCF in one of the at-larges.

RE: Conference Championship Games
Florida legislators ought to be threatening over UCF's case. It seems to be the only way to get changes out of this group. Orrin Hatch did it when Utah was getting hosed a few years back. Got them in the games and ultimately in the Pac.
