Does the guy have ties to the SEC/MS? Kind of a head scratcher, never heard of him.

Not a one. But MSU has their version of “one of us” as AD now- his only previous experience is coaching baseball. He got another version of Mullen but with no southern coaching experience or ties.

In fairness to State, who wouldn’t like a little Moorhead?

RE: New MSU Coach
Moorhead's stops don't include anything south of Washington DC.

Yeah, Mullen was a Yankee too, but he had 4 years at Florida to acclimate him to the SEC and the south. So they basically rehired Mullen, but without the SEC experience and contacts, without him having coached on two NC teams, and without him having coached a Heisman winner.

But they think Moorhead's much better, just ask them.

I didn’t do anything to that end. Sigs have randomly been going in & out for a while.

(Yep, now it’s gone again.)

RE: New MSU Coach
my only problem with this hire is that looking at his resume makes it questionable if he can recruit the south like when Matt Rhule went from Temple to Baylor w/ no Texas connections

no....it's still there...

fyi: what is happening, is any change made to your personal preference zeros out your sig.....

as an example, when I change the verbiage from time to time (above/below) my avatar, I have to "save changes", then reenter to my sig (w/o modifying), then click "save changes" again....

I complained to deaf ears about that......it should be a simple code change unless he's dicked himself......

it's not a big deal as a workaround.......but that's why it's happening.....

e.g. when you changed your avatar is when your sig initially disappeared.....

I have zero problems with this hire....I hope they fall back to the dregs where they belong. They've spent most of their time there, they are comfortable there.

When I view the board, whether it be on my phone or laptop, sometimes people’s sigs are there and sometimes they’re not. Even within the same thread, some will show & others will be missing. It’s weird.

Addendum- this picture is real. An MSU fan brought his/her dog- not a bulldog- to welcome the coach and handed Moorhead the mutt for a picture.

Clanga, clanga, indeed.

I dunno. He took a lower salary so he could use that money on his coaching pool. We'll see what happens.

Cohen seems pretty competent to me. Hired Cannizarro who is awesome and beat our best team ever twice on our home field. Yeah, Moorhead doesn’t have any southern ties but his track record is pretty impressive.
