Was late getting to the game Saturday and may have missed this, was Jackson Dillon introduced as a senior or has he left the school? I know he graduated in May.

He looked like an NFL player in that BYU game.
And "Knockem" Outing looked like a heavyweight contender.
Jeez I still get excited when I think about that game.
I wish the best for young Jackson Dillon.

He was not introduced. Never saw him on the sideline. There is a chance he could apply for a 6th year with a decent possibility of getting it granted. However, if that were the case, he probably would have at least attended the game. Evidence indicates he's done with football.

I suppose enjoying the sport isn't reason enough? I didn't/couldn't play in the NCAA or NFL, but I would love to go back in time and play another year of high school football.

Oh, I dunno. College life. Competitiveness. Team environment. Not ready to quit a game you've played all your life.

Again. I'm not condemning Dillon. It's a personal choice, and he's definitely earned the right to make his choice.

Just pointing out that a lot of guys stay around programs who have no shot at the NFL.

Grad school paid for. Free room and board for another year before facing the real world. Like you said, '87, lots of potential reasons.

I have heard nothing of his leaving the team.

Nor has anything been announced to that fact. In fact, I know he applied for a sixth year already.

That's great if true. Just puzzling that he wasn't on the sidelines Saturday.

College ball is also a grind, as is being injured. It is mentally tough working out all year long. We have the benefit of knowing what the “work world” entails. When you are a college athlete, this is very much a job, and it is physically and mentally hard. They also have to be a student.

3 1/2 seasons was enough for me. But I was done. Just thankful for Campbell Clinic and the late Dr. David Sisk that I can walk normally.

No doubt. It's a personal choice - unless injury makes the choice for you. Plenty walk away. Plenty stay as long as they can.
