Lot 105 Student Tailgate Lot
Thought I'd share one more article. This is from the Syracuse Student Newspaper. I think the school (WMU) should be commended for allowing the students to be students.

I went there during the zero tolerance phase.... so this is a welcome change. Not that we didnt' find ways around it, but it's fun to watch the students party. Thanks for posting.

I was part of "A group of WMU alumni — some of whom played in the marching band"

I can't believe he called us adults...I'm gonna need a minute...

We accidentally found ourselves there, during the msu game several years ago. NEVER AGAIN! I had my share of wild times when I was at western, but these students now days are nothing short of pigs. Actually got a flat tire trying to leave the lot after the game. I'm guessing most of them don't even wipe their ars!

They seem to have a great time but I don't get the broken glass.

Wait, they look the other way when students walk in with bags of marijuana?

RE: Lot 105 Student Tailgate Lot
Interesting article. We tailgate in the Reed Fieldhouse lot these days which is more adult (I guess) as I am 56 years old and way past my student days. The article mentions when the student area was across from the track on Michigan Avenue back in the day. Back then, in order to get to the stadium from the west side, you had basically had no choice, but to walk through that area. We used to call it “walking the gauntlet” as it was shoulder to shoulder intoxicated students all along Michigan Avenue near the stadium. It never bothered me, (I was a lot younger then), but I kind of felt sorry for the older folks and families that had to weave their way through that area getting to the stadium. I think having the student tailgate area where it is today works a lot better.
