Hopefully the day will come when a Falwell no longer runs the place and LU academically joins the 21st Century. Then FBS conferences would be knocking the door down to have them. J-Boy Sr. always said he wanted LU to be the Notre Dame of evangelicals. Liberty is not even close. Notre Dame is a world renowned institution of empirical and critical study. If LU wants to match that they have a loooooooong way to go...............And I say this as a Baptist Pastor with over 40 yrs experience.
Sad indeed and the minions seem to continue to endorse him. It's the tether to one man that gives the rest of us pause. I kinda understand the endorsements just being respectful but how he doesn't understand the damage of his continued presence is perplexing. Creepy.

Well if NMSU did fully move to the Sun Belt, it would make basketball season most interesting. When Bakersfield leaves, the only team(s) that would pose a threat would be GCU (UVU is questionable right now we shall see if they can challenge the WAC's top 3). The Sun Belt tournament would really be interesting because NMSU would not be certain to win. Makes the season more lively for sure. Our WBB team is always solid, same goes for softball and baseball. Hell our football team has gotten better. Most wins since 2004!

Actually, NMSU has made the right moves on the court, the diamond, and the field. I wish it was enough, but obviously it wasn't for at least 4 of our members.

Most wins since 2004, not sure I'd brag about that, you are currently sitting at 5..... That is currently not bowl eligible.(and, yes, I realize that you can and probably will get bowl eligible against my team)
And the only right move would be to move campus 1000 miles east. There really isn't much they can do to make me want to be in a conference with a team that far away from everyone.
