I called the ticket office and they said the alumni society is working on a travel package to the bowl game for the fans. No details or prices yet, but maybe it'll be more affordable than booking on your own.

Good to hear, I checked the airfare and it was more expensive than I thought.

Round trip from BHM is avg $450, depending on your arrival and departure dates. ATL is actually more expensive, with most RTs well over $500.

Hotels during that week are avg $225 per night.

I'll be interested to see what kind of deal the alumni society can get us.

I can’t fly there from here for less than $1,100

Hey folks, link to the web site above and let them know if you are interested in any package deals mentioned there for travel, acommadations, tickets, etc. Enough interest might get us something affordable to consider.

Southwest through ATL is the cheapest I have found.

If you can get to FLL there are flights for $189 per direction!

For us to do it, we would need to leave on the 20th or 21st and return on the 23 at the latest.

I believe Atlantis takes Marriott/Starwood points if you have those.

Well, the Bahamas Bowl website talks about the 13,000 locals who enjoy watching the game in person. That’s probably a generous number.

Someone we know is taking a cruise out of Port Canaveral. Actually sounded like a pretty decent deal, but if I were going, I would also prefer not be bound to the cruise line's schedule.

Forgot you had to have a passport.Two in my party are out because of this. Looks like I won't be going.
