We recruited this kid out of high school. From Rockford so maybe he is looking to return closer to home.

RE: Demry Croft
This guy would be a great fit for our offense. He has experience, and what Carey wants...running ability at the QB position.

Been suspended, poor stats this year. Do we want to take a chance on this guy?

I thought the same thing. They were shut out their last two games.

He completed 41% of his passes. I hope we can do better.

Take a look at his stats

http://stats.washingtonpost.com/cfb/play...?id=252044

He is an average runner (4 yards per carry) and his 41 % completion percentage is horrible. 7 picks with 123 attempts; does not sound like a Carey guy.

I think this is correct. I believe you also ose a year of eligibility (Maddie). The only way you don’t is if you play down a level.

RE: Demry Croft
He has not been impressive at Minnesota at all.

Whether that's because of the system, the lack of WR playmakers, or his actual skills remains to be discussed.

RE: Demry Croft
If he was eligible immediately, maybe, but having to sit out a year kills it for me.

Wilton Speight, on the other hand, is somebody I hope to coaches are putting a full court press on.

Was just going to mention Speight. However he is from Virginia so going back east may be a priority. The other concern with Speight is he has yet to be cleared to play.

Yeah i think he likely ends up somewhere in the P5. Not overly concerned about the injury considering we’re 4 months from spring ball lol

RE: Demry Croft
Do Not Want.

A kid who leaves the program immediately after the season when he was the starter most of the year shows that he obviously had some issues there. Add that along with his poor stats and previous suspension does not make him a desirable player to add to our squad. We already have a few QBs who can't throw, do we really need another one??

Everything I've watched with Speight is that he his more towards the pro style and they would have to change the offense a lot for the one season...

With all the firings this season, my guess is there will be more available

You’re not wrong but NIU completely ditched the QB run with Santa for 3 games and the offense worked fine. It would take some adjusting, but it’s completely doable. Would be a good way to get Hall some action too by having him be the running QB.

Hope you’re right on the second comment.

I hear the sounds of some desperate Huskie fans

Hopefully Childers, Graham and famiiy disregard comments posted on this forum. Difficult enough a challenge to play QB without the added toothpicks inserted under finger nails.

Remember what happened to the ND 'phenom" transfer and how his career unfolded?

RE: Demry Croft
Demetrius Jones played 1 college game before he transferred. Speight was third team all big Ten last year and nearly won the Orange Bowl. There’s a difference.

Randy6969 (nice nice) has proven to have really solid information and said he doesn’t think graham will play next year. I’ll personally be shocked if Santa doesn’t transfer. This team desperately needs to add either a grad transfer or JUCO in the offseason.

Good point. Either way he would dominate the MAC. He could make all of the throws we all were in love with From Santa and much more.
