Redshirt senior safety Raven Greene capped off JMU's five-interception day on defense, as he reeled in his 13th career interception to tie the program record for most in history. Redshirt senior safety Jordan Brown picked up his seventh interception of the year, tying him for first place in the FCS in 2017. Just behind Brown is junior corner Rashad Robinson, who produced his sixth interception of the year.
Haven't gone back and looked for a while, but my recollection is that these 3 in particular are already on some top all time lists and move up every time they get another pick. In Robinson's case, I think it's INT return yards.

RE: Stony Brook at JMU Thread
I'm right there with everyone that says we didn't run the ball well on Saturday. We didn't, but the four sacks that Schor took really ate into our overall rushing yardage. I do think 3 of those sack were on Schor. He needs to get rid of the ball or get through his progression quicker. The O-line needs to get up to the second level better on the zone read plays. That's why we weren't running the ball as well. I saw several times where the linemen that had 2nd level responsibility would get their shoulders turned and the linebacker would fill the gap before he could re-direct. If you don't keep your shoulders square to the line of scrimmage you can't get to the linebacker/SS on those zone runs.

Listening to the postgame presser on 550AM heading home out of H'burg, Houston said WTTE of "I was mad at Bryan for about 3 plays"...to which, he went on to say 2 of those were sacks that he took where he had ample time to throw the ball away. He of course then went on to praise Schor (as he should). I found the selection of words "mad at Bryan" to be rather profound, but I think what will come out of it is a focus on that this week. That is, we've gotten away with taking some big yardage loss sacks during the regular season - and we may still get away with it vs Weber State - but we are at the time where we have to be laser-focused and playing smart football.

was an interesting part of the presser.. he was all smiles during that, and went on to say that BSchor is hardest on himself and wants nothing but a W for everyone around him. Insert more praise, special, lucky to coach this kid talk - similar to past coaches about this young man.
the announcers seemed a tad critical of BSchor ...
- not the strongest arm
- doesn't always make the best decisions
- smaller QB (uhhh..6'2?)
- great throw for this level (though that could have meant college v. pro)
Granted, part of their job *is* to pretend like games are close and that there is parity.
He would get rocked running in the NFL... but weight room, more pocket-play, and smart-running-ONLY... kid could be in the NFL (with a path to starting similar to russell wilson / cousins)

Said the same thing during the game. Not sure if Schor is trying to be too perfect, or if the play/routes being called are not giving Schor an outlet, but he's definitely holding it too long.

In the press conference HCMC said that there were about three plays that he was mad at Bryan for, I would imagine the sacks would take precedence.

I remember hearing some of those things by the announcers as well. I think most were by that former NE Patriot (probably trying to compare him to Tom Brady) Kind of funny as other announcers for some of our games praised Schor and said he has good arm strength and should get a shot at the next level.

Don't know the other guy, but since he doesn't have any connection between the two, I'd say he'll be like most color guys and talk favorably about the top team.
I just watched the replay of the game last night and today. Picozzi was ok for 3 quarters, but 4th quarter when JMU went up 26-0 he must have hit the bottle or something.
-Mentioned how one of the SBU WR from Lakeland FL had travelled 3,000 miles to come to SBU..Lakeland to SBU is under 1200 miles..If he's said a thousand miles, or 1500 miles, whatever, close enough. But 3,000?
-Said JMU had beaten last year in the semis NDSU, the 4 time defending national champs.
-Said late in the game JMU would face the winner of the SUU- WAGNER..
-Said several times JMU had beaten NDSU in the 'Thunderdome'. Maybe the Fargodome has been called that before, but I don't recall it..I never heard him say Fargodome..
The other guy Matt Chatham, who played at S Dakota and in the NFL for 9 seasons, was pretty good IMHOP..Knew his stuff.

Also before a bunch of plays (esp the 2nd half) Picozzi would be talking about something else, and would continue talking about whatever else during the play, and after the play, with nothing about the play that just occurred.
When the play starts, you immediately shut up about whatever else you're talking about and focus on that play. When the play ends you can resume your unrelated ramblings.

Oliver almost had a pick on the 2nd drive. Greene almost had a tip-up-to-himself pick on the 4th drive.

If you didn't manage to pick up a Beat Stony Brook button from Outpost last week, PM me or stop by P lot tonight. I grabbed a bunch because they had tons extra due to the late delivery last Saturday.

Saw this thread pop to the top of the front page; I figured it was bc JMU got another INT.
