Today continues our road trip to the Florida directionals, So. Florida today and No Florida Wednesday. No Central Florida, though.

We are a 3 point favorite against the Bulls. Their record is similar to ours, as they have played the same teams are we have in this tourney.

So Florida has managed to lose to Morgan State, though.

Looks like their best player is Tulio da Silva, originally from Brazil. 6' 7", 206, presumably a SF, but apparently rebounds like a PF.

Also what strikes me is 3 graduate transfer students, two from Penn State.

Matter of fact, IF I'm correct, they have SEVEN D-I transfers on their team.

Think he will man one of the guard positions.

Somehow we are favored by 4. USF got beat up by Indiana, and only beat Arkansas State by 11. Sounds familiar. Nice chance to pick up a win against a major conference opponent, albeit a weak one.

I watched the first half when North Florida played MSU, and they have lots of shooters. That's a scary one for us, despite their record. We will need to be very disciplined defensively.

Lots of good shooters can kill a zone.

Lot of defensive lapses, but we managed to go into half down only 2 points. We've got a shot at this game.

We have scorers but not SHOOTERS.

We need a SG who can flat out shoot.

We've needed a shooter for 6 years. Probably not going to happen under Murphy, unless McAdoo steps up.

Nice drive and kick by Ellison. He looks like he's starting to figure it out a little bit.

18-2 RUN! Huge. Teams has played much better on both ends this half.

Nobles and Ellison both knock down corner threes. We are up 8 with 7 minutes to go.

Very active defensively. I've been impressed with Groce and Nobles on the wings. Groce had a really bad turnover, but then got a big boy rebound on the next shot. These guys play hard.

You guys are complaining about shooters, and EMU gets a couple big ones.

The treys are starting to fall.

BTW, agree we've needed 3-ball shooters for years.

That was one heck of a turnover. A non-rushed pass to literally no one.

They're bound to fall at some point, I guess. Nobles is a guy we need shooting more. He's got a sweet stroke. Groce as well. I think we have some solid outside shooters, but they aren't the ones shooting most of the time. Murphy has to get the ball in their hands. Jackson needs to play with his head up more when he drives to the basket. He finally did, and hit Ellison for 3. Should be basic stuff.

Ellison is a baller. Really like him. He changes how EMU plays the game.
