Exclamation Divisions and championships.
I think having divisions is archaic and I think that all conferences should be like the Big 12 and have the top 2 teams play a championship. This whole East vs West etc is stupid. Same in pro sports. NBA East vs West, NHL (same), MLB with 2 leagues. NFL and two conferences. The top teams shouldn’t be segregated based on ancient systems that keep the beat from playing each other.

RE: Divisions and championships.
That would get messy examples this year in SEC 3 teams have 7 - 1 conference records with GA and Bama both losing to Auburn, but never playing each other. With Divisions GA is East winner Auburn West so no need to use season statistics for tie breakers. The MAC has 3 teams with 6 - 2 conference records with one of which did not play the other two, without divisions, deciding 2nd place could get messy. The biggest benefit to divisions is avoiding the use of statistics for tiebreakers. Before playoffs, and before The BIG had divisions if there was a tie for conference championship, the team that had went longest without Rose Bowl appearance got that bowl bid.

For CUSA divisions are kind of a necessary evil to keep travel costs down.

RE: Divisions and championships.
The two best teams in CUSA are playing each other, not once, but twice this year. Given that being the case seems odd to be upset about divisions this particular year. Undefeated east vs undefeated west, except for their first game. It's a good story line for the CCG.

And for Owlcountry, pride goeth before a fall. Keep talking your ****. UNT fans were talking a lot of **** right before they played you. And Lane daddy will have to beat us like 3 more times to even the record. I mean you guys couldn't even beat us last year, and had your closest conference game against us this year. See WKU - Brohm. You're one Kiffin to USF from suckage.

Divisions help to build rivalries which is a very good thing.

In CUSA West they'd probably fare no better than Rice and the border twins. Oh wait, they even lost to one of those.

Who are the border twins? San Antonio is 150 miles from the border.

Well yeah because those 3 points that separate us from both our west losses this year just screams we couldn't compete. Neither team was UTEP or RICE where you guys have been padding your win totals. Let's not get carried away with the strength of the west this year. The 30 point ass-beating the east best gave the west best says the west is pretending. And let's not also forget that our worst beat one of your top teams in Charlotte over UAB. But I already stated that I like the divisions and don't see what removing them would help. But one Herdfan's post a plural generalization does not make.

I thought 150 miles in Texas was considered down the block 05-stirthepot

Yea great points. To me it’s more of a pro sports come playoff time issue. I think it would be nice to be able to have the top 2 teams play in college but def issues aplenty as you say.

You apparently cant comprehend the initial post. Reading deficiency? Possibly you only read thread titles then reply with obscure babble that you hope people figure out?

Possibly you’re just a douche bag?

All of the above?

So you're going to live your football bravado vicariously through FAU because your own team has an extended losing streak to the western division teams?

No, I think he was just trying to give some sort of response to your random post. Again, apparently you are unable to comprehend or possibly you’re just you doing you again.

Either way sucks.
