I'm coming up for the championship game next weekend and need a few recommendations. Any thoughts on the best place to stay near the Liberty Bowl? Also, other than Gus' Fried Chicken, any suggestions on "can't miss" restaurants? Where's the best BBQ?

Finally, anywhere specifically I need to visit on Beale?

What's the ole saying about counting chickens before the eggs hatch? Either way, Memphis still has to take care of business against a pesky Pirate squad on Saturday to host. Of course assuming South Fluuuurda wins. Either way, UCF and USF have a great time slot for national exposure tomorrow to show off the conference. Pack the stands and make the American look good on network tv tomorrow...

Best Memphis BBQ? Interstate BBQ on 3rd St near I-55. Doesn't get much mention these days & not in a great part of town (it's safe), but IMO still the best BBQ sandwich anywhere.

Maybe I don't eat out enough but Costco has the best pizza in town imo.

Yep. They have a airport location that gets a lot of traffic as well. Think the airport one serves breakfast
