CMU vs. NIU. NIU needs help from WMU but can secure another birth to Detroit with a win. CMU can put a cap on a very nice season at 8-4 and possibly grab a share of the MAC West with a W.

TOLEDO vs. WMU. WMU can end Toledo's MACC hopes for a 3rd year. TOLEDO can finally meet their goal on senior night and finish 10-2 with one more huge game looming.

Rockets 51 - WMU 21 and I buy 7 beers for a WMU fan I promised would buy a beer for every time the Rockets score a touchdown. (BTW he will take an UBER after the game)

If we can temper the WMU rushing game and not allow it many big plays, we win by two TD’s. If we cannot, then we may be relying on CMU for some help. Nervous about this game to be honest!

Given our recent history, I’ll believe a Rocket victory tomorrow when I see it actually happen. Franklin is a beast at RB, but I hope the D doesn’t forget that the QB can run, too. If our offense is clicking and we don’t stop ourselves more than once then I like our chances, even if it’s a high-scoring game. More likely, though, that WMU keeps the ball mostly on the ground, hoping to chew up clock & keep our weapons off the field, similar to what Ohio did. Let’s finally close a season out the right way!

A good RB and a running QB seems to create a nemesis for our defense. It sounds like Western is pretty beat up, like us, but they can still run the ball, and their freshman QB can throw the ball effectively. I think the fact that they faded at the end to let Northern take the win is a telling sign. Their fading in the 2nd half when we are typically strengthening should allow us to take the win. I'm going to guess 42-31 Rockets.
