MyBB Tiger Basketball Player Power Ranking
So this is a 1st. The CA ranked each player on this years team. Kinda funny, that Mike Parks is a starter, but ranked 9th on the team.

Tiger Basketball Ranking

1. G Jeremiah Martin
2. F Kyvon Davenport
3. F/G Jimario Rivers
4. G Malik Rhodes
5. G Kareem Brewton Jr.
6. F Raynere Thornton
7. G Jamal Johnson
8. F Victor Enoh
9. F Mike Parks Jr.
10. G/F David Nickelberry
11. F Karim Sameh Azab
T-12. The walk-ons

RE: Tiger Basketball Player Power Ranking
Our team, to date, is playing like a school projected to finish 9th or worse in the AAC and in danger of finishing with a losing record (not seen since the freshman were in diapers).

We lack adequate talent and experience and outside shooting. The best we can do is mitigate our defiencies and maximize our marginal strengths. One of our strengths is versatility.

I figure the players earning the most playing time depends on the opponent and thus will vary game to game.

Rhodes is better than I thought and Parks needs to put in a position to learn and succeed. Projected Tigers playing the most against opponents without a strong inside presence:

G Jeremiah Martin
F Kyvon Davenport
F/G Jimario Rivers'
G Malik Rhodes
F Raynere Thornton
G Kareem Brewton Jr..
F Victor Enoh
G Jamal Johnson
G/F David Nickelberry
F Mike Parks Jr.
F Karim Sameh Azab

I realize the top six are not traditional inside players, but Tubby should be able to make it work since the traditional inside game is fading away these days.

When we play teams with strong inside game, then Parks and Azab would receive more minutes.

Just my 2 cents for fun....

Wonder how they "ranked" Azab since he's never seen the floor. Did they watch him fall off his bike? Otherwise, I pretty much agree with the assessment.

Parks has been, well, less than effective, which is a massive stretch.

I don't think there's ONE player on this roster that would have had a scholarship on any of Cal's last 5 teams. Not one.

Not even ONE?

wait,,,,are you talking about Cal's last 5 teams at KY, or any of those nine he had at Memphis?

Because both would be true.....

Note: sorry peeps, I don't mean to be so negative, I swear I try to find slivers of bright spots,,,,

I think Martin would have been offered a scholarship. He is on par with Willie Kemp (without whom we may have lost to Miss St).

Sad as it is, it looks as if some are finally starting to agree with my assessment that i made when this class was signed.

Weird thing for the CA to do.

Before the season I was a wait-and-see. I'll admit now, it doesn't look good. But going after the players so early? I seem to recall those who were anti-Tubby from the beginning were saying that the rest of us would be the ones throwing players under the bus. But it sure seems like those same people are doing the chucking.

Seriously? Cal left a long time ago. We haven’t done squat since. So just now you’re worried about it?

It serves no purpose.
