Memphis vs. UCF is the CCG this season deserves.

Is it really fair that Memphis is already in the AAC title game while UCF, who beat them like a drum H2H and also has a better conference record, still needs to beat a 9-1 USF team just to get where Memphis is?

Heck, if Memphis and UCF both lose this weekend, Memphis will be in the AAC title game not UCF, even though UCF beat them like George Foreman pounding a punching bag AND having a better conference record!

Something seriously wacked about that, but nobody is complaining?

well Memphis is in the west division and UCF and usf are in the east...

And UCF would have lost to an USF team that lost to Houston ---- a team that Memphis beat. Maybe Houston should rep the West. 03-wink

If USF wins this game, they SHOULD get home field advantage over Memphis. I know they won't, but they should.

Both would be 9-1, and would not have played, but USF would have defeated UCF, while Memphis would have got blown out by UCF.

Memphis' best win would be against a 25th ranked UCLA, while USF's best win would be against a top 15 UCF.

At that point, USF would overwhelmingly deserve home field advantage, but wouldn't get it due to a quirk which took the CFP poll BEFORE this weekends game even take place into account. This is extremely unfair.

Real men want to fill their own stadia and increase their bottom lines, as well as have their fans be in attendance to the fullest degree upon victory.

But I get your point.

Well, true, if the USF-Houston game is counted as a "loss", when Houston threw up a prayer on 4th and 24 when the game was essentially over. However, even taking that out of the equation, USF's best win would be against a #12/13/15, depending on which poll, UCF, while Memphis' best win would be against a barely ranked UCLA, who went on to have a bad year (5-6). That is unfair, any way you slice it. The determination on who gets home field should be determined AFTER the biggest game of the year. That is fair.

So, you're saying the loss to Houston really doesn't count, b/c they got you with a 4th and long desperation play? Do you know how often that happens? UC got us with a 4th and 27 one year. Only thing that counts is the final score. That's "fair," lol.

Then you're saying it isn't "fair" that the AAC takes the ranking before the last game. It's the same rule for everybody in the conference. The reason is they don't want to wait 3 or 4 more days to determine the logistics for the CCG. Venue prep, tickets, hotels, air fares, equipment trucks, etc.

And then you're assuming if you beat UCF, you might jump Memphis in the next poll, when we are #20 and you are unranked? Highly unlikely. But the rules are the rules.

If your'e good enough to beat UCF on the road, then you should be good enough to beat us on the road, as well.

Man up. 03-lmfao

I feel like some media momentum is picking up about this crappy system that College Football uses, UCF losing to USF or Memphis makes that narrative go away

Well, your team can solve that problem single handedly. You have that in your own control. Whip both of us and do the same in the Peach Bowl.

Otherwise, no room to complain.

The last thing the conference needs is another televised game from Tampa.

Seems like Riley Ferguson has cross scribbled this game plan more times than any other. "

It would be nice to host the CCG but I want the Tigers to get another shot at UCF.
