Grad transfers all day

Seems like he should be shopping for a solid, pass-first, point guard. If that would come as an experienced grad transfer, that would be even better.

I don’t agree with a pass first point guard. Today’s point guards need to score and drive and dish and make open shots. Geno would be spectacular if he drove and dished 4 of 10 times instead of driving and shooting 10 of 10 times. It would also get him a easier lane to the basket as defenders would also start guarding the dish off.

By pass-first, I don't want someone to come in and start taking away shots from German, Bradley or even Thorpe. It would be enjoyable to just see someone who knows how to make a pass that leads to a basket. If you find a true point guard then German can just concentrate on scoring.

where do we compare when it comes to the amount of transfers? is this normal for a mid-major?

but i think this is more the sign of the times. as players in the top tier/elite teams go one and done, and other players jockey around for the best exposure, it seems to be a symptom of the current state of men's college basketball.

if a player at a mid-major is doing well, he's probably going to want to optimize his potential and move to a larger stage. same goes if a player isn't getting enough playing time and feels he should be. there is no "team" in most college basketball, its only individuals trying to get to the next level.
