What is going on with UNCW basketball recruiting. Information is almost nonesistent compared to other programs and prior years. Who are top realistic targets? who is making official visits this fall? November signees?

State of cleanup/athletic fields at UNCW post storm?

Chances UNCW men's soccer goes deep in a playoff this year, over/under 40%?

Thoughts on the two men's basketball commits (if you haven't discussed them yet). Will there be another/others?

It would be great to hear insights on anyone who might have looked much improved during early practices? I'm particularly interested in your insights on how Elmore looks, as well as Kalina.

RE: Latest Episode of "The Beat and the Beard" UNCW sports podcast
Some quick updates from our little podcast:

First off, Episode 77 will be taping on Monday, so feel free to submit questions for the regular show.

Secondly, we'll be taping the Men's Hoops Hullabaloo on Tuesday. So, if you have questions for C.B., get them in before Monday night.

Finally, we don't have a date nailed down just yet, but we'll also be taping the Women's Hoops Hoopla with Karen sometime soon (likely next week), so the sooner you get those in the better.

Lots of good BnB content coming out soon, so stay tuned!

RE: Latest Episode of "The Beat and the Beard" UNCW sports podcast
Alex,
Great Podcast! I really enjoy listening to you and Michael!! Well, my question is regarding the last grant. Where to go with it? The kid from Cape Fear may fill a need, I can see that. I also see the need for one more athletic big that has very good size and can defend the rim. I'm talking about a 6' 9 ish long body that can be developed. To me, that would be big. If it is felt that we have 2 capable PG's for the future, it would seem that there is enough talent to fill the other positions. That's just my take. BTW...give CB and staff a bunch of credit for recruiting the talent base thats now there. That was HUGE and will pay big dividends down the road. If controlling the glass is a staple for this system and it appears that it is (which I agree with), another talented long big wouldn't be a bad idea to me, but a junkyard dog combo (big respect term in hoops cause the guy is imposing his will on both ends!!!) doesn't sound bad either.
Best,
Bill

RE: Latest Episode of "The Beat and the Beard" UNCW sports podcast
I'd like to know what Coach McGrath thinks of the new NET (as opposed to the RPI) ranking system. Did that factor in any way into how he put together this year's schedule? If not, will it factor into future scheduling decisions? Will it impact his coaching on the floor (for instance, the NET system seems to reward winning by 10 or more points, while losing by fewer points seems to 'hurt' less than losing by 10 or more. So will he be coaching to increase/cut margin of victory or loss in order to strengthen NET rankings)?

What does he think of efforts by other conferences (CUSA and Sunbelt) to set up pod systems (or other devices)to strengthen the NET rankings of their stronger teams as they head to postseason?

Can you ask him for a rundown of player health status going into the season (Jaque Brown and Matt Elmore for instance)?

How does he assess the development at the point guard situation at the moment?

As he uses his last available scholarship for next year, what is his thought process? Trying to fill a certain need? Best available player?
