Kareem Hunt's number
What number did Kareem Hunt wear, and are there jerseys with his name?

#3 and I think we had an earlier thread on this that said you can't put actual players' names on heresies. NCAA violation? Somebody else may recall better.

I do not think NCAA allows schools to sell uniforms with current players and numbers, you can find former players numbers on current NCAA permitted jerseys for sale (for example Dicks currently sells OSU Zeke Elliott jerseys). In my view UT does not do a good job of even selling a genetic UT jersey. Most of what I have seen of UT jerseys with actual current or recent players names and numbers appear to have been custom made with close approximations to the midnight blue and gold colors.

it's just hearsay that you can't put names on actual player's heresies.

I was wondering when someone was going to make a joke out of that.

RE: Kareem Hunt's number
and you can definitely make a #3 Toledo Rockets jersey without "Hunt" on the back. UT has never had a clue how to market their teams and star players with a exception of Naama for a minute. True Story. I wanted one of the gray basketball jerseys. Replica, cotton copy, whatever. Just like the look and wanted some new rocket gear. Found out there was no way to purchase a UT basketball jersey. Had a family member well connected to UT who knows folks in athletics inquire and still there was no way. Eventually he was able to get ahold of the main company that makes and distributes UT gear in coordination w the athletic dept. They said they've been trying for ages to produce and market such jerseys but athletic department/marketing hasn't been able to effectively get it together with them. They said the only way to get a jersey was to actually have it be part of the team order for the season. So this year when the team got their unis there was an extra jersey in the container with my name on the back and a note to set it aside. So, technically I'm on the team this season, just don't tell anyone cuz I'm pretty sure my eligibility clock is used up and I'm sure the NCAA would love to penalize us to show Louisville they mean business.

I got those heresies straight from the NCAA hierarchy so it’s not hearsay.

I called some guy last week and left voicemail. When I still didn’t hear back I texted him “sent you a vm”. He texted back “Yuck”. I checked my text to discover auto-correct changed “vm” to “bm”. So I plead auto-correct and anyone who says otherwise is just spreading heresy.

RE: Kareem Hunt's number
Ohio State always got away with selling jerseys with the year on it.... Then having QBs wear that year as their jersey. Braxton Miller... Jt barret as of late.
