cmu-niu line: what to expect?
guessing organic chips will be favored by 6.
MTP has always been tuff place for NIU to play.
not so sure and lacking quantifiable documentation to back up my opinion but I often think officiating is suspect at key moments and cheap hits are not uncommon in Mtp..maybe new technology and replays will reduce my angst....

Should be an even game, so I think the classic Home field bump... CMU -3

Interesting, I think that they are 5 points better, but with the home field I’m not sure Vegas takes that line

Thats probably right, this is probably going to open as a pick em. Or actually I could see something like NIU -2

The Friday after Thanksgiving is one of the biggest college football days of the year. All of the big conferences play on Black Friday. Here are your other 11am TV games.
#3 Miami vs Pitt
#12 TCU vs Baylor
Navy vs Houston
If you can get non-ESPN3 TV coverage, then I say close out the season on Black Friday every year vs a Tuesday night.

It has become clear that if MAC keeps up the scheduling in the future , the conference will fold. There literally are no fans left thanks to the espn deal Based on comments in this board and my personal situation, you are going to peel back the final layer of many longer time diehard fans that won't renew season tickets next year.

Again, how can you complain about scheduling a game on Black Friday? The ACC, Big 12, and AAC can all play 11am games that day but it's not good enough for NIU? If anything, playing a game that day is very un-MACtion like as Black Friday is a traditional college football day and the MAC won't be the only game on TV that day.
I get the angst against the Tuesday and Wednesday games but I don't really see much of an argument for including a Black Friday game in there when 10 of the top 15 teams in the country are also playing games that day.
I don't care about the black Friday thing, I am talking about the entire season, or the last 2/3rd of the season. If things don't change soon, its all over. If the pictures of empty stadiums the past few months doesn't motivate change, I don't know what will. I know for one I am not renewing season tickets next season with similar schedule. The line has been crossed.

And if we run Huff and Harbs down their throats we should cover easily. But who knows what’s going to happen? We may get Jones and Mister all game or throw it 50 times...

It's one of the the very reasons why a few yrs ago I dropped buying seasons tickets :weeping:and decide game by game whether or not to attend Huskie home or away games.

RE: cmu-niu line: what to expect?
Show the Chips some respect!
We have lost three straight years to CMU.
Beating them will be a great achievement.
CMU has beaten us 7-3 in the last ten years since Joe Novak left.
Neither Jerry Kill, Dave Doeren or Rod Carey had a winning record against them.
Jerry Kill 1-2
2008 CMU won 33-30 OT
2009 CMU won 45-31 the MACC
2010 NIU beat CMU 33-7
Dave Doeren 1-1
2011 CMU beat NIU 48-41
2012 NIU won 55-24
Rod Carey 1-3
2013 NIU won 38-17
2014 CMU won 34-17
2015 CMU won 29-19
2016 CMU won 34-28 3OT
