MyBB IT'S GOING TO BE A LONG SEASON IN BB.
I hope i'm wrong but I just think we're going to be really bad . I do appreciate the players we have and the effort they put into our team , but we just lack the couple of players that would give us a good chance to win against quality opponents............................................................03-weeping .

RE: IT'S GOING TO BE A LONG SEASON IN BB.
I would only amend that with 'it's going to be a long and LONELY season in BB.'

We had 7,200 or so ANNOUNCED....which means around 3,400 butts in the seats.

We are not good right now, the local talent is NOT coming here, Tubby is coasting, so not only is there not an immediate future upswing, the Grizz are taking up whatever discretionary $$'s are around. And, and I forgot, college BB is becoming less and less relevant and the regular season is pretty much uninteresting.

At least we'll be on a great ride with football for a while-maybe even into January.

I think most on this board expected a bad season, possibly a losing one. When you lose all of your top-rated players and replace them with much lower-rated ones, it doesn’t take a genius to predict the results.

The near miraculous rise of Tiger football under JF and now Norvell provides no greater example of the importance of employing the right coach. It gives me hope knowing the infrastructure is in place for Tiger basketball success. We just need the right coach at the helm.

it'll take 3 years from whenever the right coach is put in place to get back to some semblance of what Tiger bb should be.

Tubby is in year two and will likely take a step back from year 1 (how big a step remains to be seen)

His 2018 recruiting class is a shambles.

Next year will be better that this year almost by default but then he'll lose this 'core' and have to hope Johnson, Nickelberry, and Enoh can be beasts as juniors during his 4th year.

If Tubby had hit the ground running when he got here he'd be a year ahead of where he is right now. If Tubby could manage egos he'd have plenty to Top 100 talent on THIS year's roster. If Tubby didn't insist on having his son on staff he might have a much more productive recruiter in place which would lead to better player = more wins = better attendance = a better overall vibe around the program.

Tubby either doesn't care or, even worse, he just doesn't get it.
