This is partly why we are still able to compete with a lot of the bigger schools even though we our budget is less than 5% what theirs is. At it's core, football is a nasty game played in a blue collar environment.

What was on that video was a vulgar display of spending money for the sake of spending money. It in no way resembles a football locker room; it's disgusting.

How are you supposed to convince your players that they need to leave it all on the line, outwork their opponent and that they aren't any better than their opponent, when their locker room looks like a pimped out version of Tiffany's?

THAT is a locker room. Quality, function and practical.

If they need some game time motivation, they should plaster the current CFP polls on the wall and circle one of the top 20 teams. You know, that team that didn't bring any value to their sh*tty conference. Yea, stare at that while you put your jock straps on and prepare to get bent over by a team from Oklahoma.

All it takes is one good hire and they'll be back. Strong was clearly not that hire. They will know if Hermann is the right guy by the middle / end of next year.

In the last five years we've seen what a good hire can do. It's never been more apparent. Texas with a bad hire of Strong. Miami with a great hire of Richt. Nebraska with a bad hire of Lincoln Riley.

That quite frankly is an embarrassing waste of money. I guess since there is not any room left to build more facilities them the next logical step is gaudy, over the top interiors. Schools like Texas are obviously running out of ways to spend their money. Eventually the lower level P5 schools will have them also. The money keeps rolling in and you keep collecting new buildings then you start just buying stupid things.

The stainless steel build and ventilation system is a good idea from a health and safety POV. The rest is just sprinkles on a cake. pointless
