Egor the model of efficiency in tonight's Florida blowout of Stanford...with 2 minutes to go in the first half, and the Gators uip 53-33, Egor has 17 points on 6-9 shooting (5-5 from 3).

RE: Egor's first game
Egor ended up with 24 while sitting out most of the second half as Florida cruised to a 30+ point win. ESPN analysts were wowed by him.

Yup, he was ice cold from the field-- as cold as he was hot the night before against Stanford. Let's see how he does against Duke in tomorrow's championship game. If Florida is to have a chance they'll need his outside shooting, but I suspect Begley III and Carter are going to kill them down low. At least UT had answers in the paint; Florida does not.

RE: Egor's first game
Jeremy Jones also got 6 minutes for Gonzaga, though mostly because of foul trouble. Also playing a decent string of minutes in their game against Texas right now.

RE: Egor's first game
Did Jones ever get put on scholarship? Or is he still a preferred walk-on?

Florida plays Duke tonight.

Speaking of Duke, I just checked up Sean Obi's stats. He's a perfect 6-6 from the field in 5 games for a 6-1 Maryland team. He's averaging 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game for the Terps, and looks to be about 10th in their rotation based on minutes played.

RE: Egor's first game
Not Egor related, but Corey Douglas went for 15 points, 15 rebounds (12 OREB), and 7 blocks in his most recent JuCo game. Still believe he would've been an all-conference big if he had stayed.
